Main Line Health Outpatient Imaging - Bryn Mawr Hospital reviews
13They cancelled my MRI appt the day before my appt as my referral had the wrong address for their facility. I was told that the finance department could not reach me even though there were no messages on my phone. The finance office instructed the scheduling office to cancel me. I CAN'T WALK DUE TO MY INJURED KNEE. Without an MRI, I can't get the care I need. But, all they care about is their bottom line. Ironically, a quick call to my insurance is all that is needed to change the referral. I WILL NEVER UTILIZE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. Financial decisions are more important than good medical practice and basic communication.
Great customer service experience and very quick. I went there this morning with no appointment. I was greeted warmly by everyone, COVID safety precautions were taken seriously, and it was a speedy process. My 3 year old son needed xrays of his lungs. I can’t say enough about Pamela! She was pleasant and funny. Made the process less stressful and easy.
I took an appointment for PFT and XRay and they were super late to take me in. What’s the purpose of an appointment then? I had meetings for which I got late because of them.
Loved the welcome I received from the front desk ladies, especially Lisa and the young lady who took my insurance. They were both professional and efficient, yet personable -helping feel comfortable in a stressful situation. I have not gone back for my MRI yet-further review to come.
Called to schedule an MRI and while trying to find the paper with the information the receptionist needed she hung up on me after only about 2 minutes of waiting after I said it might take me a few minutes to get it since i got shot in the legs. Was on hold for a while so this is very frustrating.
Sitting here as I speak 1 hour in the same chair same position. Here for a simple chest xray. Was told when I scheduled that I would be in and out but they lied. Guess everyone is at lunch. Main Line Health was the best in the past. In the last 2 to 3 years it has gone downhill. Billing sucks as well. Try getting someone on the phone who actually sounds like they know something. A real shame for the Bryn Mawr area.
We were running late by 8 mins on a Friday 10/ 26/18 and last appointment of the night as the Baldwin school was directing traffic clearly for a large event. As we rushed into outpatient imaging (101 bldg) the women at the desk was clearly annoyed " assumed you weren't coming" my husband said " yes ma'am I understand. She huffed and puffed getting papers together. My husband was taken back for his MRI. I sat in waiting. At 6: 17 pm she called the back to say she was leaving for the night. The following conversation is from her side to I assume the man who took my husband back. " sorry about that, just letting you know I'm leaving in a few, you have everything you need back there? " " yeah not even an explanation" " yeah a big one" " have a good weekend". I am making assumptions to filling in those blanks (with unkindnesses) to the other side of this conversation based on her apparent annoyance / ire. While I can understand as I deal in customer service as well. It's a job not a hobby and last person for the work week. I accept we left 30 mins prior to the scheduled time for a typical 18 minute ride not knowing we'd run into the crazy school traffic. It was still an uncalled for attitude. The place is open until 7pm and we were assigned the time by central scheduling.
As someone who is terrified of an MRI, this was a pleasant experience. I have had a few MRI's attempted before and it usually resulted to using the panic button and settling for a CT Scan a few days later. The loud noises and claustrophobia get to me. Chronic pain has had me require an MRI recently, which I got today here. It was a Siemens wide-bore, so wasn't as claustrophobic and the test took about 30 minutes. I was in and out in under an hour with a CD of the images in my hand and parking validated. Sure, getting an MRI isn't the most fun you can have but everyone on staff I encountered here was patient, polite and friendly. My fears of getting an MRI have been greatly reduced thanks to this recent experience.
In my opinion this is a substandard service. I was promised a call with the mammogram results the following day. No-one called me. My doctor called me a week later to tell me the results weren't right and i needed to reschedule. I called them immediately to reschedule. Held on the phone for 30mins. They say they can't reschedule (?) but will call me back. They then don't bother calling back despite promises. I've called every day and don't get anywhere. Just a lot of hold music and promises of amazing service. Absolutely awful. My health does not feel in safe hands in their hands.
Having been through several surgeries in various hospitals, bryn mawr hospital is one to avoid due to substandard billing practices and procedures.in 2017, i had hernia surgery at BMH.while in surgery, they saw a few more hernia tears and addressed them.however, they billed my insurance company for 2 surgeries and not 1.so i ended up paying an additional $600 deductible for my operation.then recently, i needed an MRI on my hip with contrast which required a needle injection with an xray machine. BMH billed my insurance company for a surgical procedure in which i needed to pay an additional $600.a surgical procedure that i did with my clothes on.never once during the scheduling or checking in did BMH tell me that i was going to be charged a surgical procedure for an injection.i disputed my bill only to be emailed the following:
"The patient has a responsibility to understand their benefits as well and we cannot guarantee what they may or may not owe. "
it is impossible to understand my 'responsibility' if no one discusses the procedural requirements with me in the first place.i was just going in for an MRI with zero knowledge of BMH billing procedures.i was also told by the department head that they have decided to revise their 'script for this procedure' for patients because of my problem.lot of good this does me now.there are lots of excellent hospitals in the philadelphia area.this is not one of them.
Very kind staff. I was in a lot of pain and they were extremely sensitive to my needs during my MRI.
I had a CT scan here 12/2017. The woman who stuck me to get the IV contrast stuck me 3 times. Each time, she missed and tried to thread the needle through to get to the vein. She and her colleague were very nice, but you woud expect if someone does this for a living that they know how to get the needle into the vein in at least a second try and without threading. Nice person, wrong job.
The one nurse could not stick me with a needle to save her life. Only took 3 attempts. Also watch out for the young woman with blond hair she was extremely rude. MRI nurse.
I will never go there again.
