Doctor Malik is by far the best doctor I ever had other than the doctor I saw throughout my pregnancies. He is very kind, caring and listens. The front desk staff is nice. The only issue I have is trying to get a hold of someone. They never answer the phone. You always have to leave a message. I have been at the pharmacy and had to get ahold of them and they would never answer.

I was one of his First patients and I have stayed over the years because he's a very good Dr. He has amazing bedside manners, and is actually caring. I am a person not a chart when I go, he listens to my issues and I feel like he genuinely cares about my well being. Thank you for being a great Dr

Dr. Umair Malik is an excellent doctor. He listens to his patients carefully and responds accordingly, displaying caring bedside manners. My experience with him was very positive.

However, I encountered some issues with the front desk staff member, which left me quite disappointed.

First, they were unwilling to listen to my concerns, when I requested to use a tap-to-pay option for payment because I had left my wallet at home and only had my mobile with me, her response was very rude and racist. She informed me that they didn't have a tap-to-pay option and suggested I pay in cash or with a credit card. I explained that I had forgotten my wallet, but before I could finish my sentence, she responded in an extremely rude manner "Oh, please don't say that; no one travels without a wallet, and Desi people (a term for individuals from the Indian subcontinent) often use such excuses. " I found this comment not only rude but also insulting and racist. In today's digital age, it's not uncommon to forget a physical wallet since many people store important items like driver's licenses, credit cards, health insurance card, travel cards, and boarding passes on their digital wallet. I would rather say they are lacking of a tap-to-pay option.

Second, Regarding their billing practices, my experience was confusing and frustrating. I visited for an annual checkup, but I was told that my first checkup couldn't be considered an annual checkup, and they charged me a $30 copay. Additionally, the doctor ordered some blood work and later had a call to discuss the results, they charged me another $30 copay. The doctor also scheduled a follow-up appointment to check my blood pressure in two weeks, which incurred an additional $30 charge copay.

I asked about the charges and provided an example from my kids' clinic that they do not charge for Annual check and to discuss the blood work that was order during the annual checkup. In response, she replied, "I don't know about others, but this is how we charge. "

Anyhow after pointing out that at least one of these visits should have counted as my annual checkup, they reduced one $30 copay. However, they still applied a 4% fee to the remaining $60 balance, which I found perplexing. I'm unsure if this fee was related to credit card processing or taxes, but I've never encountered such a fee on my health bills before.

In summary, while I had a positive experience with Dr. Umair Malik, the front desk staff's behavior and billing practices were quite disappointing and left room for improvement.
