I moved from Jersey City to Philly after my first local move with them and as a returning customer I was treated poorly this time about the damages occurred during the move even though I had proof and movers had a good idea what happened right away. Cost was $1800 and we were offered $400 or their policy $0.6/lb which doesn’t make sense when it’s electronics and they damaged two of our TVs and a vase.

In addition, truck that was assigned wasn’t big enough for our stuff so we had to rent a uhaul the day after which wasn’t covered either.

Finally, one of the movers forgot to give back our key fob and we had to chase him a week to get it back so we can have access to our garage.

If you’d like to have an experience like that, use this firm. I won’t do it again.

We used man with a van and would NEVER do so again! Where to start!? Domingo and Danny were the laborers. They were friendly enough and seemed to do a good job. However, once we unpacked our belongings the next day we realized a bag with our Dyson vacuum among other things wasn’t present. I called the office and spoke with Abby. Abby informed me that’s it not their problem and hung up on me! Literally hung up on me! I texted Domingo that the bag had not been packed and while we understand mistakes happen we needed the items shipped to us or we would meet them closer to us to pick up. Domingo read the text and never responded. I confirmed with the apartment building that the bag had been left. It was. I had to buy an Amtrak ticket and go back into NYC to pick up the $800 vacuum that they left behind! Again, no response from anyone at the Man with a van offices. I highly recommend not using this company. They were rude and disrespectful after they got their money.

Didn't bring all the tools needed to assemble/disassemble the bed so they spent 30 minutes getting the tools. It was otherwise a smooth move.

They were pretty attentive and communicative about what they were doing and where things needed to go.

They were fast, efficient and generally careful. Only thing is: they took one of my blankets and swapped it out for their ratty ripped blanket, which they left behind. On the upside, they charged by the half hour, after the first hour, so it was the cheapest move ever.

These movers were very unprofessional. No sense of urgency, seemed like they were running the clock to get paid more. When I’m paying $220 an hour I expect more organization and willingness to get the job done efficiently as possible. Took 4.5 hours to move a 1 br (both buildings had elevators). One mover was hitting on women who were walking by on the street. Overall wouldn’t recommend. If you’re moving in Philly call Mambo movers, they’re amazing!

I had the movers do a large one bedroom move to a house with a lot of stairs. I booked them pretty last minute too. The crew they sent was fantastic and they really worked hard. Also, their prices as compared to other movers in the city were very fair. Would definitely book again!

We had a great experience with Omar, Stanley and Steph. Couldn't have asked for more professional movers - they were awesome and took the stress off a potentially very stressful day. Will definitely use Man with a Van and hopefully this team again.

You pay by the hour & I was expecting it to cost me a lot more- but the crew was SO EFFICIENT & QUICK! They were in & out, while keeping all my items protected.
I was honestly so impressed by their process & how they handled everything.

Before someone on the Nextdoor app recommended this service to me, I spent WAYY too long searching for reliable/affordable moving options.
I ended up booking Man-With-A-Van very last minute (the day before). They responded quick and made the whole process seamless. And the crew kept me updated on their ETA on the day of.

Happy I can skip the online research next time! I'll definitely use them again.

Called at 9: 30AM to schedule a same day, one bedroom moving job. Movers arrived by noon and everything was at the new place and set up by 2: 15pm! *We hadn't even packed up anything by the time they arrived!
Brandon and his team are awesome!

Used them about 2 years ago and had no complaints. However, my move on 4/16 I got a call at 9am saying they had to delay my 10am move to a noon-2pm window. I already had a full day planned so I had to move everything around. The movers were quick once they arrived but they left multiple damages on my furniture and scratched a few walls.

I have used Man With A Van twice with in one year both times I received responsive customer service within 24 hours. Their hourly rate Is reasonable. The two man crew was punctual, professional and efficient. They were more than willing to accommodate my specific needs.
