Mavis Discount Tire, Matamoras PA

I went to get my oil change. I needed an inspection, but did not have an appointment. I knew I needed some work and figured I would get it done another day. Long story short, Tyler got me inspected and all the work I needed done.it was more than I budgeted but Tyler was able to work it out and did a nice job in a timely manner.

Mavis discount tire in matamoras is always going to be my first choice in this area! The friendly staff here always makes sure I get the best bargain and the best work! So satisfied!

These folks here were the nicest mechanics and support staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My car broke down on the interstate a mile away and I had to have it towed. Not only did they do everything in their power to try to fix my car and get me home (which didn't end up working.
Engine was seized), but they were kind and understanding through the whole process. As a disabled veteran with PTSD who was going through massive anxiety over not being able to return home to Boston, the extra time they took to help me calm down and talk me down meant the world to me. Even though my car was dead, I truly felt that they did everything they could to try to help me. If I were from the area, they would be receiving every single bit of my cars business. A special shout out to Steve and Dina particularly (sorry if I spelled your names wrong), and the mechanic too who's name I can't remember (sorry, it was stressful!).

I would recommend them to anyone in the area. And a quick stop if you're passing through and find yourself in need of work. They're real people, down to earth, and they will help if it is at all within their power.

I went into the matamoras mavis on thursday 10/12/23 my husband needed brakes bad. I applied for their flex shopper got approved for 1500.00. The total cost was over that between Tyler the mechanic and Dena the manager worked it out for i can get the brakes done. Very happy with the service they did to me and my husband.

Needed new tires for my truck. I didn't have an appointment, so I was looking to make an appointment and get a price on the tires. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had the tires in stock and were able to perform the work while I was there, so I didn't have to come back another day. Very short wait time. Very satisfied with the experience, will be back again next time I need service. Highly recommend.

Pulled in last Friday with low tire pressure indicated on my TPS system. They looked at the tire, without removing it, aired it up and told me that I was good to go. The next morning the same tire was 11 pounds low. I aired it up and went back to the same location. Now they removed the tire and told me that the bead was broken. Resealed the tire charged me 20 some odd dollars, and sent me on my way. They happily accepted my tips both times. Sunday evening I found the tire had 6 pounds of air in it. I tried to put on the spare but could not loosen the lug nuts because they had been pot on by an impact wrench, not t torque wrench. Called AAA to come loosen the nuts. Went to another mavis location on Tuesday where they found a cut on the inside of the tire which should have been found by Matamoras. I know Matamoras was down two service people last Saturday, but no excuse for missing the cut. While I was there the also installed 4 incorrect tires on another customers vehicle. They were worth $50 less a piece. Thank goodness they stopped at DD and realized the error before they drove away. Service was very poor, but they were glad to accept my money and tips. I will stick with the other location.

Quick and great service! Went in with a flat tire today and got it changed within the hour, and then they helped out with changing my other back tire since the tread difference could be problematic. Always love coming here, customer service is great and they help with any and all questions I have. Definitely a Mavis customer for life

Bernadette and Dena were extremely helpful with my inspection, oil change, tire rotation & two front tire change and got me in and out the shop in about an hour & a half on a busy saturday. 10/10 would definitely recommend

I had a fantastic experience at Mavis Discount Tire today! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly and efficient receptionist, Bernadette. She made me feel welcome and ensured the check-in process was smooth.

The service I received from the head mechanic, Tyler, was nothing short of exceptional. Not only did he perform a thorough car inspection, but he also completed the work quickly and efficiently. It's clear that Tyler is highly skilled and dedicated to his job.

Overall, I can't express enough how impressed I am with Mavis Discount Tire's excellent customer service and fast, top-notch service. Bernadette and Tyler are true assets to the team, and I'll definitely be returning for all my automotive needs. Five stars all the way!

Needed one tire. Call spoke to Jeff gave me a price of $61 for one tire. I said I'll be there in 5 minutes. I went in there were two ladies in the front I told them my conversation they said oh we don't have tires that low. I said I just got off the phone with Jeff and that's the price he gave me. They said yeah we can't do that. I literally do not know how this place has 4.6 Stars. Wouldn't even bother to even try to help. Nothing.

I came in with one flat tire and a tire needing to be put on a different rim. The nicest manager greeted me and did her best to make my experience their very pleasant. My truck was brought in quickly and the tire swapped instantly. The staff there was very pleasant and made my experience wonderful. Every staff member from sales to service to management was just amazing! I look forward to returning to this Mavis location to get my snow tires very soon

Good place, I came to change my front tires and they helped me get the best possible result with the 2 I bought and the ones I already had, they also sweated me to understand the arrangements that my car needed that make me very happy to have my car in intimate condition thanks to them, 10/10.
