Maxamillion's Gentlemen's Quarters Barber Parlor

I moved to Philly 3 months ago and randomly stumbled upon Maxamillions barbershop before heading down south for a wedding. So glad I did. You can tell you're going to be taken care of as soon as you walk in the door. Steve gave me a great cut resulting in compliments left and right. Not only was the haircut great, Steve's attention to detail and soft touch when shaving my beard into a mustache was greatly appreciated. I have extremely sensitive skin, and have never had a shave that left me without red bumps all over, until now.

Today I went back for my second cut, and while I waited for my appointment with Steve, Max was on the phone trying to help an older customer of his get a better quote for some home repairs. No wonder these reviews are filled with people saying they're treated like family here.

When I sat down, Steve remembered exactly how I got my haircut the first time without even asking. Once I got in the chair, it was like no time had passed since the last cut and we were chopping it up again. Literally and figuratively. The conversation was just as great as his work in the chair, and it was fun to discuss the value of a good haircut with him after he was done. Truly priceless. 10/10. THANK YOU!

On my 1st visit, I had no idea what to expect. I'll refer this barbershop without hesitation. The particular haircut and style is exactly what I wanted. The owner, services performed, decor and cleanliness, was a great surprise. The decor in itself, speaks of the owner's taste and style, which left me assured. Already made a 2nd appointment.

There is no better place for a proper shape and cut from the master OG from Philly, Mr. Maximilian. The vibe and overall atmosphere complements the quality of work and product available.

Their website says shave comes with hot lather and is 30 to 35 minutes which would make sense for $20 but they were more concerned with wearing a mask while getting cut than giving the shave that costs $20. Further he was more concerned with whether or not I was awake than if the experience was relaxing for $55. Also, the only thing he had to do on my head was basically a shape up and charged $35. My mustache was suppose to be trimmed even and it is not even at all because he did one side at a time and after all of this I now have to go home and was my mask with an unclean shave that was not relaxing at all. The whole cut took less than 30 min, that's how easy a job it was.

Best in town. Max takes great care of his clients. The shop is clean and he takes great pride in the safety of his customers. The atmosphere is laid back and the music is out of this world

If you are new to the Philadelphia area, traveling thru the city or just looking for a fresh cut in a professional environment, I highly recommend Maxamillion’s in center city. Their clientele list is very diversified. I rate a 10/10!

This is the celebrity barber. The decor is a fusion of old-school style with modern accessories. The conventions are current events cars and money. The Maximilian experience is worth the cost. Don't be star struck with the clientele.walk-ins are welcomed, however its best to get your appointment.
