McDonald's, Allentown PA

I actually didn't eat here; I stopped at this location because the app said it opens at 5: 30am. When I arrived I found it doesn't open until 6: 00am so I didn't wait.

The location also doesn't participate in McDonald's Rewards which is what drew me to the location (to purchase a Rewards deal) so this was an inconvenience.

The Phillies won so the McDonald's app sends me a "ecoupon" for a free crispy chicken sandwich. The last few times no other purchases were required - this time, this time - there was a minimum purchase requirement - it was small, a whole $1.00 but it was a surprise, almost missed it. I bought a dollar soda ($1.06) so I could get my "free" item.
So for the rest of the review, drive thru staff was friendly, the order was accurate, provided plenty of napkins, food was hot, & the wait time in line was minimal.
The rating reflects the change of rules - while technically the chik sandwich was "free" - it's not exactly free if you have to buy a qualifying product to get it.

They were busy! And with the water/amusement park across the way they hustled thru customers quite quickly. The food was hot. Unfortunately they lost a star due to the fries were already stale. That surprised me consider the quantity of people ordering back to back.

Disgusting fries I am not sure why is this business still open. I just came from there and fries were hard and cold I will never go there

It’s says there open and they weren’t. We went thru the drive thru and nobody was there. We had to cancel our mobile order and go to another McDonald’s. All the lights were off. Experience was absolutely horrible! If I could I would give zero stars

I ordered large caramel frappe (no whipped cream), by mistake they put little bit of whipped cream and even though I asked for no whipped cream, they just handed it to me. When I asked them to make it again I was told to wait at the next window. After waiting 4-5 minutes I was given same cup, and it looked like they just scooped the whipped cream out, I could tell because outside of the cup was dirty as no one ever bother to clean it up. It was a good thing that I had few napkins in my car so that I could clean it up if not my car’s cup holder would have been covered in frappe. I told the lady who handed in my order that this is just bad customer service and she didn’t say anything and just left.

Bought my favorite burger the Big Mac. It was dry and not good. Was very disappointed. Quality makes a difference.

Well, it's a McDonald's, so you know what to expect. A few years ago, it was awful - extremely slow, orders were wrong, etc. Making a positive review because recently the service was fine, custom orders without mistakes, food hot and good (as good as McD's gets).

They seemed understaffed and very busy but Elijah was very nice and helped everyone with what they needed.

The staff here is not very friendly. And the wait times are excruciatingly long. And they make your order right maybe half the time.

The store was clean and the man who took my order was very friendly. However, one of the other staff members was not so nice. It was packed after the closing of nearby Dorney Park, and as soon as it hit 11 (closing time) one of the staff members would kick people out of the store, telling them they were closed. I’m sure it would be a good place to stop when it isn’t so crowded.

It's been my experience that this particular location is generally much busier in the summer months and thus the drive through times and lines are much longer and the wait times inside are significantly slower. With that being said, the food is as exactly what you would expect McDonald's food to be. No better, no worse.

It had to be THE worst food on earth. Nothing else was open on out trip home from Dorney. Believe me.next time we'll leave earlier and go to a REAL restaurant. The food was iced cold and and very, very over cooked. If there was a zero rating, that would still be too high! Stay away & save yourselves! There were only 5 people "dining" in tge whole place, and an employee ran a mop over our feet, even after being asked to wait. We just left everything & walked out. NEVER AGAIN!

Very nice people in the Drive-Thru. Sometimes the wait can be long, but that's not a fault of this restaurant. They are very good at what they do

Across the bar, McDonald's has some of the worst costumer service. Definitely in Philadelphia. Also, as busy as they are. There are no reason not to have fresh fries

I went through the drive thru at like 8 o'clock on Sunday while dorney Park season and the service was slow and horrible, my daughter didn't get everything she was suppose to with her happy meal. So I had to go in and as I was walking past the tables there where French fries and chicken nuggets all over the chairs, tables, and floor. It was so disgusting! I was very disappointed!

It was one of my best McDonald experiences in years. First of all you walk into a immaculately clean restaurant. Then the people working there were very pleasant and the food was hot. Worth the stop.

There was this really nice guy named drew who works at dorny park and drives his nanna crazy bc she has issues. He did smell bad though. And he seemed very religious bc he had a HUGE silver cross around his thicc neck. But he was cool af like this dude said hi to my daddy. Definitely would go to this McDonalds again.

Everyone was very polite, and they got my order right at the drive-thru. No complaints, and the kids were thrilled!

This McDonald's was very clean and friendly staff. It was close to my Wingate hotel. There's a water Park across the street. My take out order was correct to include following my request of no pickles.
