Deli McKinley Market reviews
13Ordered a pizza steak and it was pretty scant on the meat, literally one slice of cheese and watched as the cook used thin, greasy liquid that the meatballs were sitting in as opposed to actual red sauce. Person at the register wasn't too friendly either. Miss the former owners. That was always a great experience. Won't be back.
EXCELLENT customer service. They have such a great menu. Deli sandwiches, a hot bar, and hot food straight from the grill. They will customize anything on your order (that’s my personal favorite thing to do if they aren’t super busy). This is a hidden gem in Elkins park. You've got to stop next time you’re passing by. Try the Lee’s Wrap! Buffalo chicken wrap with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Soooo good.
Just had an Italian hoagie and it might have been the best I ever had. Keep up the good work
NEVER in my life have I ever stepped foot inside a deli that would sell me a $14 lb.of turkey and REFUSE to allow me to purchase rolls.
Funny story though, they had NO PROBLEM charging me $8.50 for three slices of turkey on a roll.
Pretty convenient for them to refuse selling rolls so that customers are forced to pay $51 for six sandwiches, when we could pay $14 plus the cost of rolls to make them ourselves for our son's lunches.
HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCAMMY PLACE.
SHOP ELSEWHERE!
Shout out to the Cook. He made the best breakfast sandwich I ever had. No fuss, no muss. Made it just the way I asked. Last time I reviewed this place was before the new owners. What a difference.
I placed an order thru door dash and put special instructions. They were not followed at all. And they were unwilling to fix the order or give me a refund
We love our little neighborhood market. You can easily run in for grocery staples, drinks, etc. But the real star is the deli and hot sandwiches. We go at least twice a month for some of the best breakfast sandwiches around and always enjoy a conversation with the extremely friendly owners and staff. It's an absolute treat to have this neighborhood market just down the street, and we wish it success for many years to come.
$5 minimum purchase for credit and debit. It’s 2022 add a surcharge rather losing a customer. Won’t be coming back.
I have NEVER been so disappointed in a sandwich.it was terrible! Just got it today, it was a tuna hoagie that I paid $8.50 for the (literally) 3 teaspoons full of tuna under
mountains of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato. I
should have went across the street to "MUNCHY'S"!
The special sandwich for the day wasn't $6.95 as stated. People were putting back the items/merchandise because the guy making sandwiches was also the cashier. Took way too long to check out.
The women who works there is great the cook needs an attitude adjustment. I thought it was with just me but no it's everyone he was super rude to an older woman to the point I said to her dontvworry about that he's just a miserable person. Other than him the store is great
Always great for a "not' fast food style lunch, many good hot options to choose from. Very short wait time for food which is a plus for contractors. Highly recommended.
Horrible service, first time I been to this location and employee in the back serving food was rude and disrespectful. I ordered food and his attitude was un acceptable. I then tried to call and asked for manager and they put him on phone to then curse me out! Definitely would look for workers with manners and that wants to work and be happy. Will not be going here again!
