6 Magical eating experience and great for non-foodies too!
My mother and I visited this place pre-COVID for brunch and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. There was a DJ who knew the perfect vibe and the Bloody Mary bar made us feel like kids in a candy store. We had excellent service and the food was out of this world. The restaurant itself is also really comfortable and inviting, everything about the place was outstanding.
The great part about the menu is that a foodie and a non-foodie can have a great experience here. I later came back with my boyfriend (who is a picky eater) and the menu is crafted in a way so that both of us can find something we want to eat. The ambiance of the restaurant at night made (plus everything else I mentioned) made it a super romantic evening.
This place is our go-to for visiting friends and nights out in the town- definitely recommend for people who are trying to explore Pittsburgh’s food culture. Fingers crossed that this gem makes it through the pandemic!
The most uncomfortable dining experience I have ever experienced. I went with two friends after work and we had made reservations to have a few drinks, dinner, and just relax. Well let me tell you what, we couldn't even attempt to relax or have a conversation before a staff member was circling our table like a vulture and when I say circling, take one sip or bite of your drink/food and they were immediately in your face. Constantly walking past our table to see if we had finished our food and believe me, I can understand checking to see if we have empty plates but slowing down and hovering behind the backs of individuals is just weird. We ended up having two drinks, an appetizer and hightailing it out of there. I have been to Meat & Potatoes before but I will probably not be going back until it is full capacity because I would rather not feel like I'm sitting in a fish bowl.
Excellent food and service. Truffle fries were to die for. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on wine. Our friend really enjoyed the bone marrow appetizer. Generous portions. Cesar salad was fresh and crisp. We will be back!
The service was fantastic, our waiter described the food and drinks perfectly. The food was wonderful, I highly recommend their brusle sprouts.
It would have been 5 stars, but they removed my favorite dish, duck liver paste, when they reopened this year. I will add the fifth star if they add paste to the menu.
