Mecca Unisex Salon reviews
13Henry Collins is practically a thief and cannot be trusted. At his rental properties in Chester PA and he probably has the same lack of ethics in his barber shop.
This place is horrible if you look at all the comments that show “5 star reviews you can see there clearly fabricated and the complete opposite of any slight criticism, Super unprofessional, sometimes the same barber cuts two people at the same time back and forth, they don’t greet any of the newer guess, they don’t tell you the price before hand so no matter what you do they always charge higher, it cost me 35$ and took 1 hour and 15 minutes just to get a SIMPLE shape up (my hair is almost a buzz cut) and then when I asked why it was so expensive, he said just pay me the money. Very rude, usually even if you don’t go to a good barbershop there Atleast they are polite which makes up for the average cut, but these people aren’t even average and all they care about is money without the quality. I rather, and I honestly say this, cut my own hair then give these guys a single penny ever again.
Terrible service. 2 hours late on appointment time and still made me wait after other clients.worst barber shop
The barber who cut my 4yr old son's hair (Gee) was professional and experienced. He made sure my son was comfortable and showcased amazing patience when he became difficult. The hair cut was just what I asked for my son looks so handsome
DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR HAIR CUT. I mean if you want them to mess up a basic shape up be my guess. When I came in they did not greet me and they gave me to the worst barber they had. Oh and I was charged $30 FOR A SIMPLE SHAPE UP. They were more concerned about but food than making sure my shape up looked nice. Only plus side is the fact that they had multiple chairs open on a Saturday. Which is weird because it’s SATURDAY BARBERS SHOPS SHOULD BE BUSY.
I'll be going there almost a year now love customer service the staff there is very professional I have a barber named Vic who cuts very well his customer service is very professional and courteous.
Over priced for very very very low quality. Will never come back here again. You're better off cutting your own hair.
I paid 175 for med box braids i got jumbo and they started sliding out in a week my real ends was puff sticking out the breads i just dont like then and when i called to complain, not to get my money back just to say something the guy was rude and hung up on me so im good they will never get my money again
My brother goes here on the regular.he took my one year old here last weekend guy name shizz did a nice job on my baby’s haircut ️ thank you!
My personal is Randy & he cutz my hair good It seems to be a friendly shop I only go on sundays Keep in mind to either call or go online & make an appt if u dont have time to wait
Very unorganized and gives of false advertisement of $10 student discount I paid 30 for a cut that’s not even fresh they don’t know how to cut hair. Trash wouldn’t recommend.
Great place to get a haircut! Came home to Philly from ATL to see family & they cleaned me right up!
I’m giving it 3 stars because the owner and barbers are great but my barber Shizz (I’m assuming Sean) unfortunately hangs up on me & treats me like I’m a nuisance. I call and ask how many people are in front of me, he then says 1 and then rushes me off the phone and hangs up (mind you when I’m in the chair he has all the time in the world that he uses to talk to his other customers). Then when I show up, it’s 4 people ahead of me. Not everyone enjoys sitting in a barbershop talking about sports, entertainment etc for a long period of time. I know that it’s part of our culture but unfortunately I am very busy and just want to get in and out that’s why I kindly call in advance to see how many people are ahead of me. I legit get my haircut because I have to. Not because I can’t wait to hangout all day just to wait for a cut. I then ask him if I can pay him more for an appointment but that notion just goes in one ear and out the other. The owner is professional, the other barbers are sharp but I just wish that I would have went to a barber that cares about my dollar a bit more. Now I’m forced to go to the Asians on Frankford Avenue for a sub-par $6 haircut because at least they get me in and out.what’s crazy is that I over pay the Asians just because I’m so happy just to get a cut in a timely manner. “Shizz” cuts hair great, but I would suggest that you go to him if you (A. Have an entire day off that you’d like to blow in a barbershop) or (B. Have an important engagement to go to that you need your haircut to look really nice but also have no recollection of time).
