Veterinarian MedVet Pittsburgh reviews
24Last night my family and myself had to let our 10 year old cross the rainbow Bridge. The staff was very friendly and respectful of us.
Our 15-year-old dog deteriorate quickly and we needed help. The professionalism and compassion of everyone involved was amazing. Thank you for being there for me and my family. It was a sad night, but MedVet played a part in getting through it. Thank you.
A huge thank you to Dr. Gray & the whole medvet team. The care they provided both our Sophie & us during a difficult and complicated situation is unsurpassed.
I had to bring my dog here at 4am because the local emergency hospital told me that they couldn't see us without an appointment. I called ahead to MedVet and they told me to come on in. The staff that I spoke with was super nice and when I arrived, they took my dog back right away. Everyone that I spoke with was very kind and considerate and they were very thorough with getting her medical history as she had never been there before. We spent seven hours there and the veterinarians kept me updated regularly with how she was doing. Eventually we did have to be transferred to PVSEC, but they called ahead and told them to expect us and sent over all of the information so it was a seamless transition from one facility to the next. I'm very particular about where I take my animals and I can say that I appreciate the dedication and compassion from the staff at MedVet. Even though it's almost a 40 minute drive for me, I will definitely go here again if I ever need emergency medical care for my pets.
This place only cares about getting your money and doing as much as they can to charge you. Issue a chargeback through your credit card company, I did and I won $700 back from them. Please stay away from here.
The facility appears to be modern and clean. However, there is very little soundproofing, which leads to you being able to hear every conversation happening in the lobby and in the office area for the hours that you are waiting. It also didn’t help that there was a dog barking nonstop for the 4 hours that we were waiting. There was only one other person here before me when I came in. Yet, I had to wait 4 hours for an X-ray and a relatively uncomplicated procedure to be completed on my animal.
Ridiculous prices and changed prices on us after giving us an initial estimate. Only person in the building and took over 3 hours to take care of us.
My dog hurt herself while in their care. Then they charged me for the meds to treat the issue. Take your pet anywhere but here.
Kind staff, top-notch veterinarians and very nice facility. More affordable than PVSEC with the same quality of care.
I had a sudden emergency with my 9 year old boxer Liko. The staff and doctors were very informative, incredibly kind, courteous, caring, and compassionate, through a very difficult time. Unfortunately, Liko was not going to recover and I had to let him go. The staff was respectful and caring through the entire process, and I think they did an amazing job.
Took my 9mo old puppy in after he ate a dog bed, started throwing up, and had trouble going number 2.
After waiting for 2 hrs to be seen (although there was only one other person in the lobby), I decided to take my dog elsewhere. Nobody told me the wait was going to be that long. Nobody gave us an update or single appology about the wait time. Never had this issue at his primary vet or the vca.
I just recently had my dog, Scarlett, there for her knee surgery. I was beyond pleased with the level of care she received. Everyone was genuinely kind and treated my dog like she was their own. I took her back today, to have her staples removed, and not only was she unafraid to go back, she pulled me towards the door so she could see her new friends. If i could give a six star review, I would do so in a heartbeat
The staff and doctor on site were very helpful and reassuring. The examination and medication were way cheaper than expected also. Would recommend to anyone with a pet emergency.
I came in with my dog. He had a hole in his neck that was bleeding bad. I asked for it to be looked at and to them how it happened. I was told the would work me up a cost. $700 TO $900 FOR BLOOD WORK.he was bleeding. He didnt need blood work he need stiches. 1 hr 50 minutes later still no kne looked at his gash. I left horribly service. I will tell everyone who will listen to stay away
We had a sick 12 week old puppy and took here here when she wasn’t feeling well late at night. The staff was amazing. They were extremely compassionate and explained everything including costs up front which I appreciated. We’re hoping we never have to go back but if there is an emergency, we will go here.
We were in a car accident and the dog was thrown into the dashboard in the crash. He lost function of his rear legs from a fractured vertebrae with spinal cord injury.
Our primary Vet did an X Ray and missed the issue but this place caught it and kept him for two weeks with 24/7 care. We had therapy for 10 weeks following.
He went in unable to walk and came home ready to run.
He loves to run.
Amazing people and very caring and compassionate. I cannot recommend MedVet more highly. If you are in need of emergency care this is the place to take your pet. They were extremely caring with me and Oscar and I'll never forget the kindness.
Dr Snow operated on my Sadie to fix subluxing patella. She did a fantastic job and the techs and everyone that touched her were the best! Great experience!
It cost $99 just for them to tell me it would be an additional $600 to do bloodwork and an xray. I left $200 lighter and with 2 days worth of medicine for my dog. It was an absolute scam.
This place is pathetic cost 258$ to get your pet put down every where else is 50. Those macchiato aren’t cheap maybe lay off those and you can help a few more animals
