Meineke Car Care Center, Hershey PA

Had a slight miscommunication when going to pick up my car but otherwise had a great experience. The owner called and made everything right which is HUGE as a lot of places disregard these reviews and people feelings. Thank you again!

I had an excellent experience with my local Meineke auto repair shop in Hershey. Friendly staff and great service.

Terrible place to bring any vehicle. The owner is rude and obnoxious. Took my car there 3 times to get the same problem fixed. After the 3rd time, I took it to an automobile shop of the car model. They fixed it in a hour. Meineke did not have the correct diagnostic equipment. When I confronted the owner, he refused full or partial refunds. They do not support any refunds or give refunds.
BEWARE of this Meineke dealership in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Had to do an inspection. A marker light, rotors and brakes needed to be done which is fine. However the excuse they gave me was not up to PA inspection rules. They said 50% or more rust. Then I called back in the morning since they needed to keep my vehicle. I requested to keep my extra parts, made a big deal about it. Never called/texted me to pick up my vehicle. I called and the person was very short with me saying, “I called or texted you already. ” Never did. I showed up picked my parts up and car. Then they made a big deal again about me taking my parts, took photos of my parts.
Never heard weird noises from braking. Drove cross country twice in the last two months 1100 miles and the car was good. Wouldn’t recommend going there and I won’t again.

I have a college aged daughter and needed to get her car serviced while home on break so I sent her with a list of things I wanted to get done. I was fearing that they would try and up-sell her and pressure her on other services. In fact, Carl and his team were able to check and see that we really did NOT need to get the coolant flush and filled as I had thought. They did find some items that needed attention but were very clear in telling us that they were recommended but not necessary. At no time did my daughter feel pressured and Carl was more than happy to answer any of my questions directly if needed. Overall I was EXTREMELY pleased with our experience and I will be going there again.
UPDATE 7/14/2023
Carl and the Meineke team came to the rescue getting my overdue inspection done. They clearly communicated what needed to be done to pass inspection and what could wait. The estimate provided let me easily pick which of the "can wait" items fit into my budget. Thanks guys!
UPDATE 11/9/2021 - Carl and his team once again provided great, friendly, and professional service. Communications about what was needed to be done and why were excellent. They are great!
UPDATE 5/13/2022 - Carl and his team did a wonderful job fitting me in and helping me see what was necessary to get fixed for passing inspection and what I need to keep any eye on for future maintenance. I appreciate their candid and empathetic feedback!

Owner was awesome was out-of-state a 1000 miles from home dropped everything and fixed my car as soon as possible. You also touched me the keys for a loner car. And when the part malfunctioned he took care of it the next day and sent me on my way home. Awesome place stand up guy

Friendly caring people who care about you and your car and Their auto service is reasonably priced.

I feel like they’ve changed, finding all sorts of problems that they encourage you to fix. Took the car in for an oil change, recommended $3,000 worth of repairs. Including some they’d already done a few visits back. May have lost a long time customer!

Follow up: Oil filter was installed or tightened properly. Ended up leaking. Had to get towed - NOT TO MEINEKE! Won’t go back there!

KRIS, Carl & V (mechanic). I don't want to say too much about all they did to help me out because no one can be expected to do this much all the time. I had car trouble down the road and Kris very carefully helped me to navigate EVERYTHING. It was heart breaking because I did all sorts of damage on the car and within 48 hours - it was running like new. Plus, they helped me to find another problem that will hurt me if I don't see to it soon. As I'm not a mechanic and have limited understanding, V lifted the car so he could show me the problem and help me to understand the implications if I did not fix it. He explained the price which seemed reasonable to me. Kris is the man.he is a pretty amazing young man. He is level headed and super easy to work with. It was a very, very stressful situation and he was right there to help. I admire the work they do there.they are hard workers and know what they are doing. They make me want to do better with my own work.

Chris and all his knowledgeable group always do a complete and as soon as possible job. With me, my car, and my wallet in mind. Giving me what is more important to take care of, when needed. Appreciate these guys and this location.

So impressed by this car center and the owner! I was visiting from out of town for a lacrosse tournament and my car began having huge issues needing immediate repair. The owner kindly took care of me (at 7: 20am despite not opening until 7: 30am) and repaired my car on a Saturday despite a full schedule. Staff and communication was top notch. Thank you Meineke!

Carl and the guys at this shop were very thorough and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get the fix I need and they were fast too. My car runs great and I’ll definitely be coming back to these guys again for any other car needs. 10/10!

Very thankful for the team at Meineke in Hersheys on Chocolate ave. While visiting Hersheys from Massachusetts we ran into a problem. They not only fixed an urgent problem with my breaks they got it done fast and provided me with a loaner so I could continue with our trip. Whenever in the area I know who to go for help thank you once again.

Outstanding service for state inspection & routine maintenance that turned into a bigger problem. Showed me the brake rotors all rusted, had no idea I was driving on near bald tires. They did NOT try to upsell. Took 24 hrs to get parts and I was on my way in a safe car. Thanks Kris & Meineke!

Great guys. Helped me out when I needed a new tire while traveling with the family. Fast and friendly. Definitely recommend them.
