Craft Store Michaels reviews
12This Michaels is pretty good about keeping current things stocked but they definitely need more staff every time I go in there's only one cashier and a long line
I was so excited for the frame sale! They had frames for a dollar. And even some for 5 dollars, which was amazing. Especially because my brother and his wife just had a baby. They have the best sales. And I can't wait for the $10 mystery boxes.
It's an ok craft store if you are really into a specific type of craft. There is a large seasonal selection, lots of paper crafts, a lot of kids stuff including stem kits. However if you don't want that or floral crafts it's just ok. Their online selection is better but that doesn't help if you just need one thing to finish a project you want to get it done today. I went in for yarn, and wow is their yarn section tiny. Walmart only has slightly less yarn. The craft store experience of enjoying isles of inspiration is gone. It's lots of kids, seasonal, paper crafts, and jewelry making now. If that's not what you're looking for.then shop online.
Love when they have sales on the custom framing - good work on the finished products. You have to be careful ordering online for in-store pickup, though. Gotta check your bag before leaving to insure what you ordered was the correct item they packed for you.and not substituted for another.
Everyone was very helpful, but Cher was VERY VERY patient and friendly ringing up an immense amount of florals and glitter. She was super helpful and kind. She should get a rise for putting up with people like me with massive carts!
I dashed in like a lunatic for last minute supplies. Store was FULLY stocked with everything. Clean, neat, and orderly. The whole team was overall just great, kind, and sweet. We even had a race to see who could find the 20% off coupon first at the register. She won. I lost, but.still won with the great interaction AND the discount. Thank you. Meanwhile the team was helping the nice lady in front of me carry her stuff to get vehicle. Just a really great experience! Thanks ya'all.
We went to pick up a frame for a poster. I checked their website before we left to make sure it was in stock, & what aisle it was in. We got to Michaels & went directly to the aisle to get the frame. The frame was exactly where the website said it would be. We went up front to make our purchase. The cashier was friendly, & pleasant. All in all it was a good experience. I would have given it 5 stars, but there isn't a Michaels store closer to us. We were spoiled for years because there was an A. C. Moore just blocks from our home.
We will definitely return to this Michaels store.
I always get inspired by this store. Don't know how many times we come here for our children’s projects.
Very nice store big clean the bathroom was clean but I out my way and my wife didn't find what she wanted but very nice store probably end up going there again nothing stood out any different than any of the other Michaels I've been to
Good shopping experience knowledgeable staff if you're in the arts and crafts this is where you need to go
Honestly, my wife and I liked AC Moore a whole lot better, but they didn't survive and Michaels did. I think I'm just not their target market. The past few times we have wanted something craft related we have found it somewhere else. This seems to be a store more so just for artists.not so much your every day crafting hobbyist/ home owner looking for some seasonal home decor type stuff at a reasonable price. Dont buy anything here without a coupon. And there are so many loopholes to their coupons.
I've been to this Michael's a few times, once for framing, and mostly the store is well-stocked, clean, and staff are kind and helpful. I feel like the standard frame section is usually out of most of the frames whenever I go there, however I'm assuming that this may be related to material shortages / shipping problems as a result of COVID. I do not remember how the stock was prior to, as I hadn't been to this store much before that. The framer I worked with (this way maybe a year ago) was friendly but I didn't really love any of their suggestions. I have to admit, I am particularly picky because I used to be a framer for a different Michael's and I am a graphic designer, so I have a very high expectation for framing in particular. He wasn't bad at it, though, it may have also just been a difference of opinion and style. He was very nice and answered all of our questions. There was one minor issue, the spacing for the inner and outer mats, that I asked twice if it could be a quarter inch for the under mat when he showed it as about 3/4, and I was assured it would be 1/4 (it was a very small painting). However it was 3/4 when I got it back. It was a bummer, but it didn't ruin the painting or anything. It still looks fine and I'm happy with it. Cashiers are hit or miss, but this is retail. No one has ever been rude there, some just less friendly than others. Last time I was there, I did have a very friendly and helpful floor/stock person offer help and had a nice chat with him.
