Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Washington/Meadow Lands reviews
14Absolutely awful, terrible hotel. It's by Wyndham, so you expect some form of decency. Hallways and rooms smell of must and mould which was the first thing we noticed. Carpets in the room are dirty (keep your shoes on). Bathroom had dirty floors and dust in the corners. Did not use the shower because the showerhead was completely rusted. TV and internet both didn't work. Breakfast? Pre-packaged danishes and cereal. Oh, and no Coffee. They did have decaf coffee though but was cold.
The front desk cleark (neesha) was very sweet and so nice. Took her time to explain the perks for our rewards and told us the perks of using it and everything. She also informed us that my husband he's a plantium member.
Overall a bad experience, but checkin was great. Room 317 had a coffee maker but no coffee and no coffee cups. There was a hair dryer that did not work. I was counting on being able to use the hairdryer so that was disappointing. The continental breakfast was ok but patrons were messy, left trash on tables and it was not cleaned up in a timely manner so it was difficult to find seating. Overall, do not recommend.
If I could split the one star into half a star for the location and another half for evening front desk staff I would. Everything else was terrible.
Dirty smelly rooms, gross hallways littered with garbage, breakfast is a joke with no coffee. No coffee! We ordered food nearby that didn't come with any cutlery, and the hotel didn't have any forks (!).
First room we got had a broken bed so we got moved to a musty smelling room with a malfunctioning air conditioner. It did run, though the thermometer was broken so it got icy overnight when we couldn't monitor it. Worst of all was the fact that constant fan didn't work - which normally would have been fine but this particular night there were few teenage baseball teams staying (which we weren't told when we booked) that decided to party until 2am, in the rooms and the hallways. No way to drown out the sound with a fan that didn't work.
Unfortunately no front desk staff was found anywhere and when they did appear, they did nothing about the noise. On top of it, THERE WAS NO COFFEE. AT ALL. After not sleeping all night, the rude front desk lady said she couldn't do anything she just worked there LOL apparently a manager is supposed to call me but a day later that still hasn't happened.
If you want a stay in a badly mismanaged cheap (but not actually that cheap) motel, this is the right place.
The air conditioning didn't work the TV remote didn't work. Internet kept cutting out and barely worked. There was partying going on in the hotel until 3: 00 in the morning and management did nothing. The hotel had garbage and stains everywhere my bed even had a blood stain
The location and service were ok. Nothing great. Nothing horrible. The room was terrible it was so small that the mattress was dirty and super hard. The tub would fill up with water as I took a shower and took forever to drain. I had to use the ironing board to iron my suit. I pulled it out it half of it was broken. My son had to hold one end up as I ironed. To be honest, I couldn't wait to leave the hotel to make your trip more enjoyable. This one didn't.
Check in process was easy and fast with a helpful clerk. The rooms appear old and there are stains/holes on the cushions and shower curtain. Breakfast was very underwhelming with extremely limited options. If these were the only issues, I would say it was worth is for the cheap price. However, on the first morning there I received a “wake up call” from the front desk at 6 AM. I did not request this or mention anything about a wake up call. I’m not one to complain, but the next morning I nicely let the clerk know that this happened and asked that they please not do it the next morning. 6AM the next morning rolls around and I receive yet another wake up call. I found this extremely unprofessional that this happened not only once but twice. I would not recommend this hotel. I was up extremely late both nights of my stay because I was helping set up for an event and it was really unfortunate to be woken up so early. I honestly wish I could get a refund.
When we checked in there were no issues in regards to the place or staff especially the blonde night clerk who was wonderful. Sadly when checking out I didn’t realize I lost my credit card at the room. When I called later in the day, the morning clerk told me there it was never there. She “supposedly checked the room I was in “ but told me no it wasn’t there. All of a sudden today, just now she calls back telling me she has it. After I told her that was ridiculous and told her I am out of state, there’s no way to grab it she just said “ok” and that was it. After I hung up she decided to spam call me because she didn’t like what I had to say. The blonde lady was wonderful but the morning clerk is words left unsaid.
Nice and quiet location. There is a train track behind it, but I only heard it twice during the day. Nothing in immediate walking distance. Everything is on the other side of the underpass.
The Staff very nice, breakfast is very basic but it's free. Rooms are nice and clean. The only negative is that trash cans are full everywhere.
The room was smoky, with dirty carpeting. The phone receiver had no cord, the booklets in the room had a dirty feel and the tv remote was disgustingly dirty. The little coffee pot in the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several years. Breakfast was terrible with no oatmeal or anything refrigerated. The entire facility just seemed dirty.
I enjoyed my overnight stay there. Clean rooms friendly staff and nice continental breakfast. Highly recommend.
Rip off!
Do not refund deposit!
Called several times to ask for a refund of the deposit, each time I was assured that the money would be in my account in 4-5 days.
Until now nothing! For over a month!
The room was cleaner after our stay than before.
Front desk was very nice and accommodating. Room was immaculate! Small kitchen area with couch, queen bed, and large bathroom. Very clean. Had to check out a day early as my work in the area was done, they did not charge me the second night I had booked even though I didn’t check out before 11AM the morning of. Would def recommend this Microtel!
