Brake Shop Midas reviews
17They were very professional and friendly. The guy at the front desk, I think his name was Charles was very pleasant and friendly, understanding and helped to get me vehicle back on the road. I'm sure I'll be visiting this exact location for all my vehicle problems!
Rude customer service and doesn't really ever no what's wrong with your car. Their mechanics give guesses after riding in your car for half a block.
Coming here for an oil change is convenient and peaceful. Got awesome service from a gentleman named Charles who went over the service and products thoroughly; I've never serviced my vehicle by myself before.
Pricing; service arrangements; and any questions I had were met with prompt answers and service. Will definitely recommend this place even to friends who don't live so close. Thank you Midas and thank you Charles for the awesome help mane.
I originally left a one star review over a misunderstanding on my part. I went in for an oil change and got told my oil pan and gasket needed changing due to it leaking. The wrong part was ordered. Honest mistake on a car that is 40+ years old, but the gasket was right and it was critical to change it, which they did. In an attempt to get me up and and return my car Charles worked with mechanics on site to get me going same day. After I complained and didn't fully understand what was going on, Charles took the time to explain everything in detail to me. Charles professionalism, patience and customer service was above and beyond normal duties. I was in the wrong and Charles did everything to accommodate me, asking me to bring my car in to re-check even offering a discount on the next oil change. I highly recommend this location for your car needs!
I just got my tire repair at this Midas location they're the best, Charles is the man he had me in and out as you said he would I would definitely highly recommend anyone with car problems come by this midas onn they'll take care of you thank you Charles
Recently took my car for inspection and oil change they were very respectful and courteous I was not sure if I made the right decision I did and would take my car again in future. Thanks guys!
Successfully diagnosed and fixed a problem with a slowly leaking tire at a reasonable price, really happy with their service! Highly recommended to everyone.
Fast, professional, efficient answered all my questions. My car was done in one day. I will be going there for all car needs. Highly recommended
Extremely friendly and a life saver! They were able to fix my tire issues so fast, went way and above to fix the issue for much less than I ever expected! Definitely recommend!
I would NEVER recommend others to do any car services here. I chose here to do the car inspection since it’s in the neighborhood. After the inspection, they told me that I needed to replace two of my tires since they are old and a bit damaged. When they created the estimated cost sheet, I was considering to compare the tires with other auto repairs and come back if the prices were reasonable. Then it took them so long to reinstall the tires. I went to another trusted auto repairs to try to do the inspection, they told me the wheel lock nuts of the tires were installed too tight to be removed, and the wheel and other mechanics might highly be damaged if the lug nuts are removed forcedly. I was considering this was an ARTIFICIAL move since there were specific limits of the torque that every tech knew when they re/install the tires. This issue was solved with a huge payment in a dealership service center, and even they almost broke the system when they tried to remove the tires. So I just want people to be careful.
I called and made appointment for oil change. When I bring it in, lady in the front desk not respectful and said can’t take it today because of work they already have. Then why are they having appointments.
They are sneaky & ripoff. Not recommended. Please go to different mechanic shop.
Went for an inspection and paid almost $100. Midas did NOTHING. They were supposed to change my oil - drained it, but didn’t replace it - None in my car when I picked it up. Same with fluids. Driving with NO coolant. When my engine light went on with an urgent sign a week later, I Stopped at a nearby gas station and had to fill my oil and coolant myself. Aside from the cost - my engine could have seized and put me and my family in real danger. Not to mention I would have had to pay thousands for a new car or engine replacement. They also did not check or rotate tires. Had to take it to a a good, honest, garage a couple weeks later, which charged me another $100 + dollars to make my car right. I DO NOT recommend, unless you’re just looking for a new sticker, but not interested in having your car serviced or ensured it’s SAFE to drive. Warning - they are a rip off!
Yes my sister came their needing air because this store told her she needed tires but it was the sensors and the man told her she cant have air despite her being a customer was told no this isnt the way Midas should treat its neighbors
$156 to change the oil on a 2020 Kia Rio? They advertised $79.00 (with the usual "starting at" in tiny font) and my wife went there with a $25 off coupon (which they never applied to the final bill due to deceptive wording in the ad). She was expecting the total to come in at around $50.
She opted for full synthetic, negating the $25 off coupon which only applied to synthetic blend oil. The wording on the offer was at the very least somewhat deceptive, as most people don't know the difference between synthetic blend and full synthetic. The ad did say, however, that a $15 discount will be applied to full synthetic oil change, which was not indicated on the invoice. So the coupon was not honored.
But then they told her that her car needs a special filter for $57. For one of the most common cars on the road today. I can go to Pep Boys right now and buy one for $5.
I called this location to ask how much it would cost to change oil in a 2020 Kia Rio, and the woman on the other end of the phone quoted me a price of $79.99. She did NOT say "starting at $79.99", she told me straight up $79.99. I asked her why, then did she just charge my wife $156.00? She explained to me about the "special filter" that cost $57, presumably because it's made from spider cocoons from Jupiter.or something.
Yes, she agreed to pay the $156 for a simple oil change (the tires were not even rotated). I'm just warning the next customer to make sure you know what you're getting in to when you go here for an oil change.
I was there first time at the shop for a problematic battery. Charles took care of us really well. He tested the battery and explained to us the details of the results and gave us options to resolve it. Ultimately we went with a new battery replacement for which he gave us a great price. Service was provided with professionalism and courtesy. I would go back to them for any other service I would require in future.
Quick oil change. Excellent customer service. The communication was great. As a woman, I dread taking my car to the mechanics but I would return to this location. Ryan at the front desk was personable and helpful.
Ask for Ms. Jackie (front office) and be nice because she is. Please be understanding that car maintenance takes time. Enjoy the avenue while you are down there.
