2Adorable little library with a nice kid section. Fun activities for kids and their parents. Staff are calm and friendly. Love that they work with other libraries to get the books/ DVDs we request.
Took my son in today during the “Reading with the animals” segment, we stayed a little later after the dogs left to do his homework. I literally just left the building and have never felt so discriminated against in my life. On my way out I said “have a good night” to 4 librarians and they all looked me up and down with disgust.
I watched all of the other parents leave and was responded to with a smile. I guess my skin color determines whether or not I deserve respect?
I will definitely be taking my son elsewhere. I shouldn’t have to experience hate like this anywhere, especially in a Children’s learning environment.
