Midway Drive-In Theater reviews
13The food was terrible the candy tasted like it was outdated the hamburgers were disgusting. And at the end of the night I witnessed the lady working a concession stand taking the buckets of popcorn and dumping them back in the popcorn maker with the other popcorn. So much wasted potential.
My daughter and grandson took me to see ELVIS, WAS A GREAT MOVIE, I could watch over again his manager Rob him blind in fact Elvis was broke you have to see I did have a tear when his mama died great movie thanks Mary and Dylan
Fun little drive in. Smaller than others I've been to.
The prices are comparable to a movie theater although you're allowed to bring in your own food and drink which is a huge plus. The downsides of this place are: 1. It's cash only to get in, but doesn't say that anywhere on their website. 2. There's no change in ground level for the rows for cars. If someone parks in front of you in the next row, good luck being able to see the screen if you don't have a pickup truck you can sit in the bed of. 3. While they allow dogs (which isn't a downside), people have their dogs off leash running around which I think would be a huge liability with little kids running around too. 3. I don't see how this was allowed, but people were setting off fireworks in the rows between movies. Again, a huge liability, especially with cars, kids and pets.
We'll probably visit again in the future.
I love going to the drive Inn. Just wish they would stay open longer in the season. There are alot of good days in Sept. And Oct.
The one place people get along. No drama except on the screen. I am so happy this drive in is still open!
I love drive-in movie. Wish we had in Macon, Georgia. This is the first drive-in I've been to in 40 years such a thrill. I was here visiting my daughters and all my grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
We always love going to Midway drive ins.easy access to online to see what is showing and not hard to get to!
We've been here several times over the summer and have enjoyed it. Their snack bar has a good selection and prices are on par with movie theaters, maybe slightly less expensive. We do bring our own snacks and some drinks but always get popcorn and soda at the snack bar since that is their funding for future films. We are still fine tuning our own setup for watching but it's been quite reasonable admission charge at the gate and the audio has been adequate and clear. Bathrooms are clean and we've had our choice of parking locations throughout the venue. Hopeful that they can keep the doors open on this family-friendly place, as crowds seem sparse although I'd be hard-pressed to find anything objectionable or offensive that would keep patrons away. 5*
Friendly people, great food, and movies. There's only about 15 cars here tonight which is crazy because this place is awesome. Audio is great over the radio and the picture quality is pretty good you can see some of the screen during the movie but it's not bad.
Enjoyed it. Prices were really reasonable. And they didn't care if I ran my car for bits at a time to keep the battery from dying or to run the AC, unlike Haar's, who won't let you do that anymore and then you end up with a dead battery.
More than the movies, my sister Susan and I LOVED playing in the playground under the big screen! Then, as darkness fell, and the b&w cartoon movie promoting the concession stand started up with the hot dog jumping into the bun, and the M&M walking the tight rope, then fell into the pool of color, on and on.came on, the thrill was amped up! How long could we play under that add before we had to race back to our family’s Buick? As long as possible. We still discuss that over 50 years later! Wonderful memories!
Haven't been there in years but in the 1960's I would go there whenever we visited family friends in Mifflintown. Hasn't changed a bit, really cool
