Don't get your wisdom teeth removed here. I had dry socket and called in at night multiple times and they told me "oh it's supposed to hurt" it took 4 days of sleepless nights and agony for them to take me seriously enough to see me and treat me for the excruciating pain I was in. I've had bizarre nerve sensations in my jaw ever since and my teeth were pulled 6 months ago. Initially it was numb for a few months. I believe some nerves in my face may be damaged.

Dr. Bortel was nothing short of AMAZING! I have SEVERE dentist anxiety and unfortunately due to the lack of dental care I had to have over 20 teeth removed. On the day of my consultation my anxiety was so bad I thought i was going to pass out. Dr. Bortel and his nurse were so kind and caring when I went in for surgery I wasn't nervous at all. I didn't wait long. I did start to cry a little bit and the nurse rubbed my back until I was okay. Dr. Bortel came in and gave me my IV and the next thing I knew I was in recovery
The recovery nurse was so kind and helpful. She took my hand and walked me to my sisters car. Yes, you go out the back but I think it's more for your privacy, trust me I'm glad no one saw me because I was pretty out of it. My sister told me that Dr. Bortel had come in to talk to her too and told her everything he did, and what I should do since I was still pretty sedated. Even with the amount of teeth I had removed my pain was extremely minimal! I was shocked at how little it was but so thankful!

I went to Miller Oral Surgery for my 4 wisdom teeth removal. I had my surgery through anesthesia with Dr. Andrew who is the best doctor and I couldn’t be more thankful for him to remove my wisdom teeth while managing my Diabetes. I would refer him to all my friends. The employees and nurses were very helpful in explaining everything, I reviewed enough gauze from nurses that I even had leftovers.

Professional and friendly staff! Got all of my wisdom teeth removed, no problems with surgery or recovery. Was very well informed on the process and got answers to my questions. Dr. Joo, nurses, and secretaries were very friendly. Would recommend.

I came in around 8: 40 AM for a 9: 00 AM appointment.
I was taken to get in to get my 4 wisdom teeth extracted started by around 9: 00 AM.

I had it done through general anesthesia. Dr. Joo was my orthodontist. The nurses that that assisted were very gentle and caring. I got my blood pressure checked, I got the IV inserted and then the medication. I got the heart monitor pad placed.

Before I knew it, I was asleep. I woke up after the procedure and was taken to the rest area. The nurse explained what I needed to do and things I shouldn't do.

I was given plenty of gauze.

Then, I was escorted out through the side of the office and was on my way to pick up my prescription medicines and oral rinse.

My experience here is very positive. I was worried and anxious about it, and the nurses and Dr. Joo did such a quick and efficient job on the procedure.

If you're in the area, and need oral or dental procedures done, definitely check out Miller Oral Surgery. They even have an an office in Hershey if you live closer to that area.

My mouth is still numb but there I don't feel pain. I still have bleeding but that is being taken care of with gauze.

Jesus, the lady I just spoke with at this office literally had no desire to help me, do her job or really give 2 flying F’s
Just wow!

I’ve had a good experience with Miller Oral before for my wisdom teeth, but what I can’t get past is the rudeness of the answering service when I would have to call. I always encounter an abrasive attitude when attempting to call either office.

Everything went well! Dr. Bortel did a great job with my surgery and I had a great recovery experience. The nurses were friendly and considerate during the entire procedure. The one receptionist I scheduled my surgery with in-person was rather rude, but given the good experience of the surgery, I'm not going to let that drag things down too much.

In my opinion im not very happy with this place.the surgery & dr doing procedure was fine. But the recovery nurses could apparently care less! I suspect i have an infection and called twice, left a message first time and no call back or anything! I called the hershey office, lady was polite answered my questions and answered right away! Called back here to get there opinion, lady answered (you could just tell she was rude) & said yeah the doctor will want to see you. I told her i have an appointment thursday & she said ok. That was it. No answers, NOTHING.i do not care if you get frequent phone calls about the same question or not. You work in an oral surgan place where people need answers or at least a possible of maybe it is this.its the recovery for a reason! Didnt say anything about do this or do that.no compassion for individuals in pain. Absolutely rude. On top of that the one nurse was talking to my fiance and i about a 74 year old lady upset she couldnt watch porn anymore while i just woke up from my surgery in one of the rooms. Unprofessional & very disappointed. I take the care of my teeth & who works on them very seriously. & clearly the people who wrote good reviews recovered well!

UPDATE: it tuned out they were a week behind during the whole process of my infection getting worse after getting my wisdom teeth removed. I had to go to hershey hospital & get neck surgery to get my infection out because the infection went to my neck. (which was absolutely traumatizing being awake for the beginning process because i was so swallen i could barely open my mouth to put a finger in it!) EVERYONE PLEASE WATCH FOR INFECTION! Its a very serious thing! Dont let them just keep subscribing you prescriptions that don't work for you! I went through 4-5 different kinds!
