Milys's Cake reviews
14This place was relatively good when Milagros was the owner, right now this place is falling in pieces. There is no art at all. This cake was made for a 14 years old girl.
I was in this bakery 2-3 weeks ago and Mrs. Mily and her husband were very kind to me. They helped me prepare something special for my nephew. He made me a small cake for the personalized one and tres leches for the others. My mother, who is not a big sweet lover, loved tres leches and so did everyone else. Although I don't live in the area, I know that when I return I will stop by to compare some Dominican delicacies. I was very well received and I felt confident, which is something that is greatly lacking nowadays.
You have to try their arepas and their cake filled with dulce de leche, and what can I say about the flan, SPECTACULAR.
The ladies are super nice, but their cakes are not that good in my opinion. Not authentic dominican cake, the suspiro is super thick (like the ones they put on American cakes, supermarket type) nothing like your typical dominican suspiro. The cake itself was ok, but a little dry. The tres leche was horrible for me because it had like an almond flavor to it. I asked if it was regular because I realized they had flavored ones. She told me it was regular, but I guess regular to them is almond flavored. With a little work I think they can be amazing. Then again they may not need any work. People like what they like and it just may not be for me. As long as her regular clientele is satisfied, that's all that matters.
They were opened last minute on dominican mother’s day/day before memorial day and I was able to get a last minute cake and it was beautiful and so yummy! The owner Maritza saved my life that day because all the other places in the area were closed
So much so that I liked shopping at that bakery, until now. You know what, you pay 70 dollars for a pound, and you ask her to at least put what you wrote and she says no, she can't. And they tell you right there, you know how difficult it was for me to name something simple with 5 letters. Don't be happy if you don't come back. Parents' Day will arrive and my children's birthdays, graduation and etc. I'm sorry but that is unfair and they don't even give you an apology! I've been processing this for days and whether to put what happened here. That was very WRONG! Nobody liked the cake, it was bad, hard as if the flour had not been fresh. What a disappointment. If they continue as they are going, they will only lose a lot of good customers. What a shame that after so many years of going to a bakery it comes to an end because they don't know how to treat customers.
I liked the biscuits there. But now they have changed the quality, before they were better
I invite you to go try the delicious cake, the sweet arepa and countless other delicacies and you cannot forget to try the Chinola delicacies that are very delicious, the service is super good, this is one of my favorite places
Under new management the owner is really cool you ask for coffee and she makes it for you fresh.
Personalized attention, and very high quality pastries, their cakes are incredible, you can also find all kinds of delicacies, dulce de leche, arepas, conconetes, everything.
This place was trash! I ordered a tres leches cake and they gave me tres corn bread. I asked for a Cry Babies design a cartoon that's on netflix and they gave me a plain pastel colors cake. Even after I gave them a picture of the cake I wanted. The lady assured me she could do it. When I picked up the cake I asked that lady "where are the cartoons that go on top? " She gave me attitude. After a long wait she handed me "L. O. L dolls" that she printed out of a computer. I didn't ask for L. O. L dolls. I had to take the cake with me and put my own things on top of it. She charged me $90 for this mess.
Went to a cry baby birthday party, the cake was supposed to crybaby aswell but instead it was a very sloppy L. O. L cake. I’ve had plenty of Dominican cakes but this wasent it. This was dry and flavor wasent there. The “people” who give this bakery 5 stars are all fake accounts. This cake was Not worth $100. Not a creditable establishment. Very misleading.
The worst service I've ever seen in my life, I had a dinosaur cake made taking the image, even so it was a total failure, I brought my own dinosaurs and I even lacked dinosaurs, I don't know what they did, such an ugly volcano that they made in the cake that even made me sad with my child who told me what an ugly cake and everything and that they want to put you in your position as if you are the one who is wrong.
