As a “veteran” patient, I can say with some confidence that this is the best outpatient psychiatric treatment place in the area (particularly for addiction, in my experience, though not exclusively). Dr. Yi is pretty creative, and offers holistic options like NAD+, supplements/nutritional/lifestyle changes, etc.in addition to conventional options like medication and therapy.

I am extremely grateful for Dr. Yi! His sessions to help a loved one were priceless. He was caring, very knowledgeable and remedied our issues with his own unique style. I highly recommend his office and services.

I've been going here for almost 4 years. Dr Zaveri has been an angel sent from heaven. She is the first physiatrist that actually sat and listened to me. Not just what do you need refilled. It's such a wonderful feeling

Modern behavioral health is an amazing practice. I have been seeing doctors there for years and they are the best of any I’ve had. Super friendly and always helpful.

Been a patient here for almost 8 years now and that should give you enough to know that they are the best mental health Dr's you could ever ask for. I don't think I ever wanna leave here I started out sing dr. Yi back when he was located behind the old fudruckers. I got to watch him grow and that's when I got to meet Dr. Gill she is one amazing kind hearted women I ever met after being with Dr. Gill for 7 years she asked me if I could see a new doctor Heather since I was a good steady patient so she can take on more patients that are new and need more attention and of course I agreed cause i once was a patient like that when I first came to the office.me and Heather clicked right away she is just as amazing and kind hearted. I wouldn't ever go anywhere even the girl's upfront desk are so sweet and always make you feel welcomed so if you ask me I definitely recommend modern behavioral!

Not a patient of his practice but i enjoy the content he post on his social media and i also love the fact that he gives you the real deal on mental health not like what other doctors do and lie and take your money, and don't treat your issues. Would definitely recommend him as a Doctor for Behavioral Health to anyone who's in need of it.

Oml, I literally accidentally hit a button and I can't delete this. Was looking for psychiatrists in my area and stumbled on this one. Just looking around, my apologies.

Dr. Yi has gone above and beyond for me more times than I can count.

He is knowledgeable in his field and has done wonders for me and my recovery. I have been clean for over 2 years and that wouldn't be possible without Dr Yi.

He truly cares about his patients. He keeps it real and knows when to show you that stuff love. I couldn't ask for anyone better.

I also want to note that he always makes himself available. It doesnt matter if its office hours or not. He will do his best to accommodate your needs!

Modern Behavioral is a breath of fresh air compared to other offices. Have one visit here and you will never go anywhere else. The ambience of the office alone is soothing and tranquil. Not a sterile, and cold typical Dr's office. I have have sat in Dr Yi's office and drank freshly made juice and a lunch cooked by his nutritionist. Dr Yi and Pam go above and beyond and changed my life. I was having a melt down once. Dr Yi was away in Las Angeles and called me to help. Pam has called me while driving back from vacation. I can always count on both of them for help and guidance. The office staff is also amazing. Grace is kind and helpful. She is always smiling and her pleasantry is contagious. You feel happy and uplifted almost the second you walk through MB doors. All the staff I worked with have been knowledgeable and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend this office or any of the Dr's or therapists to anyone. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO POSTED A BAD REVIEW. Please remember when you read a psychiatry/ therapy office reviews that the patients are not in a good frame of mind when they walk in MB'S door. So when you take that into consideration and look at the fact that MB has predominantly 5 star reviews. That should show you how amazing they are. That people are walking in to see them in a really bad way.like I was when I walked in.and are walking out feeling positive. I can feel super depressed prior to talking to Dr Yi or Pam but always walk out of the office feeling self esteem, happiness, self confidence, and a drive to persevere on the journey towards building myself a better life.

Dr Yi and the team at MB have completely changed my life. The difference between them and any other outpatient psychiatric/psychological help I’ve ever received: THEY CARE. Their incentive isn’t to make a buck, it’s to genuinely help improve and transform your life. I was at my personal rock bottom when I starting seeing him and felt no way out. Man was it dark. Doc gave me hope, sat with myself and my parents and we worked together over a year to figure out my plan to get back on track. I don’t suffer from addiction but I had major depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Christina Gilardi was also a major help for therapy. Dr Yi would literally call me on a Wednesday night or a Sunday morning just to check in and see how I was. What other professional would do that? He’s not just a tremendous medical professional but he has so many Insights in life and how to be successful. Now that I’m in a better place he’s more of a mentor to me. I cherish our relationship and owe every ounce of my recovery to him. He totally changed my life and I’m forever grateful and owe it all to him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Modern Behavioral Health Recovery Center

A good friend of mine recommended the Modern Behavioral Health Center to me after learning about some of the hardships my family and I have recently gone through. I feel silly now to think that I was so nervous about how everything would go.

I was the first appointment of the morning. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the office manager with a huge smile. My anxiousness was immediately put at ease. As I approached the receptionist's desk, I realized how incredibly homey the office is. Nothing like tv shows or movies. The décor was beautiful and the set up reflected an “at- home” environment. Just like I was sitting in my own living room. There was even a beautiful saltwater fish tank!

After getting settled in with the receptionist, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jo Yi. He created such a warm and relaxed environment where I was able to easily share the troubles I have been experiencing in my life. It was just like I was talking to a friend. We have only had one session so far, but I can assure you I will be back! Just in that one hour, he was able to help me reflect and set up a game plan that will help me only succeed in life.

I was also introduced to the on-sight nutritionist, Adrianna, who helps to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the clients. She was so sweet. I mentioned that I was hungry, and she made me a sunflower butter and strawberry jelly sandwich. All organic of course. I could tell that she really enjoys the environment and people that she works with.

All in all, I had a lovely experience with Dr. Yi and his staff. I would 100 percent recommend this office for anyone who is in the area seeking a mental health professional.

I ve never had therapy but was going through a tough period so I did some research and reached out to this place. I took the liberty of actually going there first as I wanted to ask questions because again I have never had therapy and I and wanted to make the right choice about where I go and who I see. The front desk woman was unable to tell me the differences between the kind of therapy provided there and referred me to the website for references so I can decide for myself. We were close to scheduling and she even provided me with some available dates but I decided I wanted to look at other places first before making an appointment here because this place was a little pricey For me personally; I would have to be paying out of pocket because they didn’t take my insurance (about 170-180$ per session is what I was told, with a professional who was not a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist). Nonetheless she was very sweet albeit not super helpful and I liked the location and feel of the place so we agreed I could call back and schedule later.
I did end up going to another place I liked but in the end decided to try Modern Behavioral because I was willing to pay the money to try and sort through my issues with the help of a good professional and the location of this place was great. I contacted them to schedule an appointment and I felt Dr Gill is someone I would have liked to see based on the bios. When I called I found out that speaking with Dr Gill would cost 400$. I decided I can’t afford all that out of pocket, I barely decided on spending $180 for an hour. I told the front desk woman that I would like to stick to a given price range and was willing to speak to someone who is not a psychiatrist or psychologist to start this therapy process. She kept asking me what I have, anxiety, or depression, or etc when in reality I do not know. I was never in therapy before and didn’t want to self diagnose; I was going through a rough time and felt like my life was being affected by my mood and when that happens I feel like you should seek help, which I tried to. But anyway, the front desk woman told me she would call me back after looking at availability. I received a phone call hours later, or even the next day, not sure honestly but it was definitely not any time soon after we spoke. I must have missed the call because she left me a voice mail saying none of her therapists are interested in taking other clients at this time and referred me to their website for other places. This made me feel frustrated with this whole process and the idea of therapy. It is already So hard to find a therapy place that is not impossible to get to after/before work and that takes your insurance and when you decide to actually go through and pay the money Out of pocket you get a woman who is very sweet but incapable of answering the most elementary of questions about the therapists at her site, the kind of care the site provides, and who keeps incessantly asking you to self diagnose yourself (which is uncomfortable for someone who barely came to terms with seeking help for this kind of thing), and then finally calls you and tells you that not one of her therapists are interested in working with you. I am not sure if this place didn’t like my price range, or the fact that I asked too many questions, or that I wasn’t able to tell them what I have but this whole interaction made me feel rejected and frustrated; after all, only a week prior this woman was giving me all these appointment times. In case somebody at this place needs to hear this, it s hard for somebody who takes care of other people s problems for a living to come to terms with the fact that they themselves may need help. That’s what I sought from this place, some help and guidance. Instead I got no answers to my questions (except regarding insurance), impersonal treatment, and then rejection without any reason but the fact that therapists were not interested in seeing a new client. Do better.
