The Dr has demonstrated and implied that she is not a diagnosing physician. Her statement was that she only investigates symptoms as they relate to a previously given diagnosis (even if these have been followed and acknowledgedby a pcp) ; symptoms unrelated to a previous diagnosis will not be pursued through testing or her experience.
While her expressions throughout the appointment and her fixated reiterations (on behalf of her colleague) were disappointing and indicative of some social bias, I appreciate her honesty.
