I called on a Saturday and was able to bring my car in to Monro on the same day to patch up a tire. They were incredibly generous and inspected my car for free. After finding a lot of safety issues, they worked with me to figure something out that would work with my budget and would allow me to drive safely for the next few months. They also offered another free inspection a couple of months from now to ensure that the car was still safe to drive. Excellent service, patient and understanding staff, will definitely be going back!

No rudeness, rush, or dismissiveness here! They were empathetic and thorough in explaining the problem, checked to make sure they couldn't fix it with a basic/cheap weld, and (while it still wasn't an inexpensive job) helped me save around $40 on my final cost.

I appreciate that one mechanic (Bill, I think?) focused several hours on the repair (which involved making a new exhaust pipe) immediately, so that I could get done the same day.

Because I was in the waiting room for a couple of hours, I heard the young man at the desk take a lot of calls and inquiries. There was a consistent warmth, kindness, and willingness to help in how he talked with all of their customers.

Finally: this location is walking distance to a Panera Bread Company... Which is helpful if, like me, you didn't expect to spend several hours in an auto repair shop and need to keep getting work done!

The check engine light in my car went on and I needed to find a mechanic in State College and I am so happy I found this place. The staff was amazing and fixed my car within a few hours after dropping it off. I was also given frequent timely updates about the status of my car. Would definitely recommend Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers!

They took my car in immediately in an emergency situation, identified the problem and had me on my way in only an hour and a half. Great service by the staff, friendly and showed me everything that was going on with my car.

This place is amazing. I had issues with my hubcap and they not only instructed me on how to fix these issues and where to purchase new ones, but also offered a free instilation for my new hubcaps. The workers were kind, respectful and responsive. Everything got taken care of in such a short amount of time- if you need any work at all done on your car in the state college area I would recommend to go here for all of your needs. Great place and great people.

Went to this shop to do a Serpentine belt replacement and a State Inspection. Got quoted more than $3,000 worth of repairs and suggested they could not pass my inspection if repairs were not completed. Went to Midas to do the inspection, and passed without spending $3,000. Never again!

Excellent service and advice - their prices are somewhat less than other "big box" chains - (like dealerships, Firestone, etc.)
They offer free inspections of automotive systems such as brakes, tire pressure, tire wear, etc.so you'll know ahead of time what to expect when you get your car State Inspected. (which in my state is annually).

We drove from Pittsburgh for a football game and had car issues along the way. Chris immediately looked at the car and figured out the problem, which made our car unable to be driven. Not the way we hoped the day would go, but appreciated the fast, caring service. Would highly recommend Monro for any unexpected issues or scheduled maintenance. Thank you!

I have to say that I am super grateful for the kindness and service I received here. I just moved to State College from the state of Indiana where annual safety inspections are non-existent. I own a 96 Acura Integra with over 230,000 miles on it and still going strong. When I took it into get inspected Monro noticed several issues with the car that would prevent the car from passing inspection and said if I would buy the parts they would charge labor to install and do the inspection. This easily could have gone a different direction. I plan to take my car to Monro for all my service needs while I'm here in State College.

First off, having my car serviced by Chris and his team at Monro was a great experience. Extremely fair in pricing but the customer service I get from them is the best in the area.

Quick and reliable service. Friendly employees. A little expensive, but you're paying for good work.

They helped me out with me Jeep Wranger. It always breaks and this time it was the radiator. They are open on the weekend so that is really helpful. Very nice guys and actually talked to me about what went wrong with my Jeep as that stuff interests me. Good people.

I had just brought my son to college in a car we had gotten for him to use. On the way down we got a screw in the tire. I took the car to the Monroe shop on North Atherton Street, shop 133 in PA. While there I dealt with the manager Chris. It turned out the car needed new tires. The job was done professionally and quickly. Later in the week my son was having an issue with the car and Chris took care of the issue and worked the problem until it was resolved. He treated my son very nicely and as a parent over 4 hours away, he explained to me in detail what was wrong and the steps to resolve it. I would highly recommend this shop and thank Chris and his staff for all their help with my son and his car. I pulled into Monro with my muffler hanging in two pieces, dragging on the ground behind me. I know absolutely nothing about cars and was devastated. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and efficient. Despite being triple booked, they were able to order and replace a needed part called the catalytic converter within under 2 hours and at what I thought was a reasonable cost. As the vehicle is a 2006 Suzuki, I have been having to put in some extra maintenance to keep it running smoothly. I was concerned with the longevity and was curious about whether I should start looking for a new car sooner than anticipated. I was given a business card from the store manager instructing me to come back at my convenience and he would personally take care of looking at my vehicle and help me figure out a timeframe I could count on for the vehicle to last within. Overall this business made what I foresaw as a devastating situation, as a minor bump in the road. I would highly recommend this company for any of your car needs.

I rented a car through a rental company which had a bad tire and I couldn't have figured that out until few days after renting the car (TPMS was on by the time I rented, but I was told it was due to oil change). Since I didn't have this documented, the rental company told me that they cannot do much other than directing me to Monro at North Atherton. I desperately went to Monro hoping to have it fixed. Even though they had a very busy schedule and they were low on staff, they patched the tire and put me on road in less than 30 mins. By doing this, they also prevented a possible bad outcome from a customer - company disagreement. I would definitely recommend Monro.

Always get my car serviced quickly with very reasonable rates. The staff is friendly and make sure to explain everything before doing any work on your vehicle.

Every time I bring my car here I feel totally confident it's in safe hands. The guys here do a great job with any problem I'm having with my car, and are always done with it in great time. Super helpful and friendly and knowledgeable, honest about what I'm paying for, and always explain what they're doing and why. I recommend this place anytime my friends need to take their cars somewhere!

Came in for alignment without appointment and it was done that same hour and done with great quality and great price. I will definitely come back and recommend to others! Cody working on the alignment was exceptional.
