Monster Pets reviews
17Monster pet was pretty good had what I was looking for.especially my large worms for my bearded dragons
This is a great store. The staff is awesome, really cares about the animals and does excellent customer service.
They helped me regime a goldfish that has grown way too big for my fishtank in a way that made me feel like he was in safe hands.
I will definitely go back there and recommend that store.
What a decent group of people, working hard to attend the needs of the animals.
They are easy to work with, ask a lot of questions to be sure everyone is on the same page, and helped us with an excellent solution that made everyone, especially the fish, happy.
While I prefer rescue when possible, tank fish are a bit different.
Monster's tanks are extremely well managed. I went by several times. Conditions are consistent, with appropriate lighting, space, aeration, and so forth.
When I need fish again, this is where I will go.
The place I've been searching for. The perfect place to feed my fish keeping addiction. Chris was extremely helpful. He made sure I got my Military Discount. He is extremely knowledgeable on fish. The place is very clean and very well stocked. Wish I didn't take so long to revisit. I was blow away with the remodeling they have done. One of the best aquariums around. You will not be disappointed. There display tanks are incredibly as well. I highly recommend this place. Do not drive past if you are a fish keeper. Chris plus his soul into that place and it shows.
Monster Pets is a great local business. They are a little more expensive than PetCo or PetSmart, but they usually have things in stock and offer price matching! Love coming here.
I was just in monster pet and it's two people help one guy in the fish department buy he not buying anything just asking a bunch of questions.
I like the store but the associate need more training it don't take two people to help one person when you have other people waiting
It was great, Brought a bunny for for my gf.
The two guys up front was great and very helpful
Decent selection of pets, fish, bunnies, birds, reptiles and supplies but the pet prices are greatly inflated, for example a neon tetra fish is less than $1.50 at Hidden Reef, however they are $3 a piece at Monster pets.
Awesome place for anything that you need for your pet.
HOWEVER. I was kinda disappointed in their company name. I went in looking for a Monster. Sorry.no Frankenstein, Dracula, or a Mummy in the place.
Then I said that I would compromise and buy a Godzilla or Rodan.still NOTHING.
I love you can bring your pet and give them a bath for $10. They supply everything, the towel, shampoo, conditioner, comb.
When we were there we had an issue with the hose. They switched us to another sink and refunded our money an apologize. Now that's great service
Best pet store in Philly! They have everything, so much more than Petco or PetSmart. Love their selection of fish and invertebrates
I purchased a Guinea pig from Monster pets and it ended up having ringworm. This sickness is highly contagious, and can spread very easily to humans. It’s pretty ridiculous that this shop sells sick animals. I have stage 4 cancer and I am highly immunocompromised. Something like this could put me in the hospital or even kill me if it is spread to me.
I called multiple times. The first time I stated that I was going to bring him into the vet for treatment and asked if there was anything they could do to reimburse me. There was a miscommunication where I was under the impression that they would reimburse me for the vet bill after I took him. The manager told me to bring in my vet bill so I would only assume that’s why they’d want to see it; so they could pay me back for the medication prescribed to heal his ringworm. Poor wording on their part. AFTER I had already went to the vet I called once more to make sure that manager would be available to talk to because I would be coming in. She then told me “no, we are only giving you back the price of the guinea pig. ” Why would you tell me to bring in my vet bill then? I’m sure she really didn’t think taking him to the vet for an evaluation and medication would cost $30… I would think that’s just common sense?
When I went into the store to collect my $30, her and another worker read my vet bill and said “oh you could have just gotten children’s Motrin instead of this one med the vet prescribed. ” So why didn’t you tell me that BEFORE I took him into the vet when we talked on the phone 3 times before I had come in so I wouldn’t have had to spend the money on that one prescription?
You know, I try to shop small/family owned businesses as much as I can to support my community, but things like this make me wish I went to Pet Smart so I could’ve saved my time, money, and hassle. This guinea pigs meds cost almost as much as my cancer treatment for Pete’s sake… I will not be shopping here again and I advise that you DO NOT BUY GUINEA PIGS FROM MONSTER PETS unless you want a sick animal.
The selection is great and prices can seem high but u are getting alot of items in more bulk. I've been really happy with all my experiences there. My dog has never not liked anything from there. I drive over the bridge just to go there for his snacks. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed
The people that helped me here were very pleasant and professional. There weren't many small pets to choose from.and the prices on some of the small animals were pretty steep ex. $269.00 for a baby python, that's pretty high imo. But it doesn't chance the overall service I received which was
My boyfriend bought his first fish tank here. They have plenty of beautiful fish. Felt like I took a trip to an aquarium.they also have pythons, birds, rabbits, parrots, guinea pigs and the staff is very helpful
Not sure whats going on with the other major pet chain, but they don't seem to have any Eukanuba, Monster has it, if you're feeding your pup Eukanuba, you know where to go.
Always go here. Wish there was on closer to my home. I drive 30 plus minutes to get here. But they always have what I am looking for.
