Moonlite Cafe reviews
18Visiting from Philadelphia and Moonlite was suggested by out host and we were thrilled with everything, so much that we went back twice on our short visit. Food was all from scratch with a bar/ restratmosphere that was homey, warm and familiar. Easy to have conversations or watch the game.
We came on Thursday for the chicken parmesan special. Not only was dinner delicious the portions were generous. For dessert it was tiramisu. This was made from a family recipe, the owner's family. This was delicious, rich cream you could taste the expresso.
Service was excellent and it always is.
First visit tonite at Moonlite. The food was so good and very reasonably priced. Yummy home made meatballs! I definitely will return.
Pretty consistently good. Reasonable prices, pleasant & efficient waitstaff, delicious food. We're currently obsessed with the hot sausage calzone & grilled chicken salad!
Visiting from out of town and we found this hidden gem. Super prices, great food and a highly attentive staff.
Chicken marsal and lemon chicken were both large and good. Pasta side is a la cart. Was puzzled why we did not get any itian bread at an italian restaurant.
Best wedding soup in the burg. Eggplant parmesan and meatballs with spaghetti. So good it should be illegal. Highly recommend that
We absolutely love The Moonlight. The food is always amazing especially the Chicken Salad! We have been going there for years and have been impressed with the taste of all the dishes we have ordered. You can bring your family here as well & watch the kids play pool while you wait for your food to come out. (Its in a separate area in the back) Can't wait to go again.
Had a table of 7 (my fam) and we all loved this Cafe. From the food to the experienced staff hands down best five stars I could give. I live in Florida so don't take this place for granted Pittsburgh. I'm sure going to miss it till my next trip up there. Thank you for the excellent everything Moonlight Cafe!
Finally! In 2022, naaaaa... Any year for the past ten years. An unmolested Pittsburgh bar the way it ought to be. Sparse crowd at seven pm, growing to a full group of an eclectic variety. I had the chu chu sandwich with veal because I was told it's their signature sandwich. It should be the signature sandwich of black and gold nation, not the overrated french fry and coleslaw sandwiches that wear the badge. My wife had the chicken parmigiana. It was a large helping and cooked to perfection with a side of penne in garlic butter sauce. I want to write about the fries too but my wife wants me to put my phone down now. You're going to have to find out for yourselves, think McDonald's!
My wife and I love this place! The owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. We had Rachel and Gabby as bartenders and even with a full bar the service was AWESOME!
Called a couple times to order food, no answer. Just a message to “please enter your remote access code”. Shrug. Shame, the reviews say the food is great, would like to order some.
This bar has the best hoagies, pizza, and wings. Great atmosphere, staff, and sports on TV. So glad to have this place nearby!
I would have recommended these people until tonight. So I called twice they have me on hold for over 3 minutes each time, and then proceed to hang up on me each time. Then I call back and ask him what's going on they hang up on me again. So that's three times. Then when I call them they actually have the nerve to have an attitude with me because they're incompetent? Don't waste your time they have a bad attitude
What a friendly place. The food was fantastic and the portions were more than ample. Cold beer and a great server.what more could u ask for a relaxing night out. We had the veal parm sandwich and a cheeseburger. DELISH. FEESH CUT FRIES.so happy
My, now, wife and I have always loved this spot since the day we met. We’ve made it a personal night of ours on Thursday to go there and enjoy the food drinks and company. Just recently we held our wedding rehearsal dinner in the banquet area down stairs and the food and service was nothing short of amazing. Lou and his crew are allstars. Kind, accommodating, thoughtful and friendly are just a few words that come to mind. This place will always be a staple in my wife and I’s relationship. 11/10 would recommend!
The service was good. The atmosphere ok. The food was so so. I had the real parmesan. The veal was chewy. Had to or the pasta separately, extra cost. I'm used to it coming with the veal. Ok. But not great.
This has been a long time favorite place. Lou the owner has long run this nice establishment on Brookline Blvd and a friendly atmosphere. His garlic parm wings are the best in town and the staff are all long tenured and like family. Also great italian dishes and good atmosphere for sports.
