Motel 6 Allentown, PA

The room was small but relatively clean. Cold feeling at first because the floor is completely laminate. The cold feeling extended to include our treatment by the front desk woman, Rayanne. We were quiet and orderly, obeyed the smoking rules, and paid without incident. I even mentioned I am in the hotel industry and respect what they go through, yet we still ended up being treated like undesirables. Although we didn't receive the screaming that others here encountered, we were scolded like children when we attempted to have family visit after a long journey. She confronted us at the room and said we aren't allowed to have anyone in our room after 10 pm. What? ! Is this a dorm with an RA on the prowl? I was embarrassed in front of my guests and confused as to when or where we were supposed to have learned this policy. There were several other "policies" that seemed to crop up during our stay. In all honesty it seemed like whimsical rules made up on the spot by a power-tripping woman who had little TRUE hotel experience, and obviously untrained in the art of hospitality with class.

This place is dog friendly, which is a big plus. However, housekeeping only comes in every other day and they complained about our muddy boots. Most hotels that are blue collar friendly have a boot brushing station. They do not. All in all though, it's a decent place to stay.

After an extremely bad experience at the Motel 6 in Albany, NY, this place was like a 4 star hotel. Very safe location. Felt welcome right away. Front desk lady was super nice. Even gave me a bag of treats for our doggos. Room was well oppointed. Small table, chair and bench, micro fridge and microwave. Room was a little cramped but very clean. We woke up late and they even allowed us 30 extra minutes to check out. I would highly recommend this location!

The staff are super nice here! They love dogs and treat all guests (human and dog) so well. It’s a no frills hotel but clean and does the job for anyone traveling with dogs.

The staff was amazing. The rooms are incredibly clean. The prices were very fair and the best part is they have coffee waiting for you in the morning. I would stay here again on my next visit to Allentown.

The hotel is clean, well lite, very friendly staff. We checked in without delay. The room was clean, bright. Nice TV on the wall 2 queens. Quite heating/ac unit. Clean bathroom with everything you need. The price was better than some other local Motels we have booked, and actually WAS BETTER than some Hotel/Motels that I have stayed for twice the price. THIS MOTEL 6 IS DOING IT RIGHT. They are pet Friendly even though I did not have. I did read someone comments about cats so be sure to check their Pet policy in full. GREAT STAY.

Motel looked nice, clean, and newly renovated. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy our stay because we were kicked out for having a cat.
I have been staying in numerous Motel 6's all over the country for over a decade. Never have a had a problem with the cat. However, before traveling and booking a Motel 6, I always check the website. Their own website stated that "pets" are allowed and welcomed. There was no further elaboration.
To our shock, we discovered that this particular location does not consider cats to be pets. Apparently, a 150 pound pit bull is completely fine, but my tiny kitten is a dangerous animal. So we were asked to leave after being presented with their official policy of only dogs being allowed.
I get it, it's a business and they can do as they please. But why was the fact that cats a prohibited was not stated ANYWHERE on the website? When I booked my room, I put a checkmark where it said "pet". A cat is a pet! What the hell?
This whole ordeal lead to us frantically calling the other motels around trying to locate a place that allows cats. We travelled there for a concert, and after finally being able to locate an establishment that welcomes cats we nearly missed the event, were forced to drive during horrific traffic in Philadelphia during rush hour, and spent a lot of extra cash on that new hotel.
So. I guess before traveling with you cat or a hamster (because who knows, hamster might also considered to be a dangerous animal), call them to be absolutely sure.

We had reservations after an event, with us we had a truck and trailer, when we came to check in the front desk receptionist came out yelling saying we can’t park here. It was 130 in the morning and she made us leave because we had a truck and trailer. My 12 yr old asked to us the bathroom before we left and she screamed at him saying we only have a bathroom for paying guests. Very rude and unprofessional.

Terrible if you're iin a wheelchair. Only 2 ppl allowed in a Handicap Accessible room. It was myself, my son and granddaughter so they put us in a room on the 2nd floor. Could not move in the room, When you can't walk. My shower stool couldn't fit in the tub and the water pressure is a joke. Wouldn't recommend this place. It was very uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to leave Motel Hell

Motel 6 is by far the best hotel in the area the staff is on top of everything from the room to the parking lot and even the elevator is clean

I liked the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the building and the grounds, the quiet neighborhood and the professional staff.

Hooked me up with 2 rooms at a great price with absolutely no notice on my part, 2 days in a row. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location.

We checked in late so the parking lot was pretty full. People were hanging out in the lobby playing the gambling machines at 2am and couple of people smoking out front. Did not feel as safe as I would have liked with my wife as we checked in.

Facility is clean and well-appointed, front desk staff very polite and helpful. Only issue is with the fact that the rooms all seem to have hard flooring instead of carpet, which means you tend to be awakened all night by the sound of people moving around on the floors above you.

Pet friendly. Upon arrival they had treats for our dogs as well as towels set aside for them. Rooms were very clean and modern. Non-carpeted floors which was very nice. Free WIFI & cable, washer and dryer. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and the beds are more like a full size than a queen. Not the most comfortable beds but they held up. Go for a double bed if you want a little more room, the single bed room is quite small. Overall I was very happy with my stay would definitely come back.

Terrible staff not all staff but just one. Always rude to coworkers and African American guests especially young ones. 3rd floor has cockroaches? Never staying at a motel 6 ever again unless it owned by corporate not a franchise. Lunitics working here. Maintenance guy is very helpful when my T. V.wasn't working properly.

As dog friendly a motel as I've ever seen, especially for a low price. They had a dog walk area, dog treats/waste bags at the door, and overall made it easy for us to have our goldendoodle spend the night.

Its basic.gets the job done for a night's sleep, my MAIN GRIPE, is the wifi. My job depends on wifi (wifi goes in and out) if I lose connection for a split second, ALL progress is lost. Its motel 6 what do you expect? Atleast they had wifi that worked 30% of the time lol.

CONCLUSION: Perfectly for a night or two sleep, if you depend on wifi this isn't the place for you.
