I would highly recommend Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! The staff is outstanding, they truly care about the residents and treat them with compassion and understanding. The facility is always clean and my mom, who has dementia, is always well dressed and clean and the meals are high quality. The nursing staff has kept me informed of any and all changes to my mom's meds or treatment and they have done an outstanding job during the Covid outbreak. The facility has followed safety protocols and provided updates via letters and texts. They have many activities and little celebrations for the residents that keep them engaged and allow safe social interaction. The attention to detail and the quality of care is beyond reproach.

My Mom just spent 3 weeks there and was discharged on a Friday and wound up back in the hospital 2 days later. This is not the first time that Mt City had screwed up first my grandmother that only survived 3 weeks there now my mom after 3 weeks there and is now in the hospital dying. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE THEY'RE NOT FIT TO EVEN CARE FOR AN ANIMAL

My father is at Mountain City. He has been there for a few months. I have to admit it, but it was kind of scary to admit him with the coronavirus situation and our inability to visit. They were honest and let us know that they had had positive cases but there were none at the time he went. He was put in a private room and they took extra care to make sure that if he had gotten coronavirus in the hospital, that it would not spread to others. They did a test on him after I think 5 days and that came back negative. They then moved him to a different part of the home that was called a green area. He has received all the therapy they promised and he is doing good. Thank you to all of the staff who reassured us that they would take good care of him. We get a weekly call from the CEO or administrator keeping us informed of everything going on and the status of the place. He has even given his email address for contact if there are any problems. Good job, especially under the circumstances the world has found itself in.

I have an Aunt that has been in Mt City Nursing Home for close to 6 years. Sometimes she can be difficult and sometimes there are issues I need to address. What I have noticed in the last 2-3 years is great improvements with Mt City I feel this is due to Richard being the administrator I find when issues arise and you need to discuss them it is easy to get in touch with him and he does do his Best to help solve them. He returns phones calls, Listens and makes sure all your concerns are dealt with immediately. This is a Big Improvement from the past. He Cares!

It's a good thing that I didn't read the reviews before I chose Mountain City for my husband. I guess it's true when they say that mostly unhappy people write reviews or employees who have a bone to pick. This nursing home took the most wonderful care of my husband. The staff are loving and compassionate. They always were there to help when we needed them. I had a family member show me the reviews right after he was admitted because they were concerned. In one instance, I needed to speak to the person in charge and he called me right back and even gave me his cell phone number if I needed him in the future. If you are looking for a nursing home, don't pass up Mountain City based on these reviews by these people who are either lying, or it has changed drastically since they wrote it.

My Mother has been a patient there for 5 years. The staff has been great. She is in the White building, first floor. My Mom is bedridden and needs to be fed. If any changes happen with my Mom, I always get a call. She does get out of bed into her wheelchair. The staff is always careful when moving her from bed to chair as she bruises easily.

My dad was place at Mountian City Nursing Rehabilitation Center after he had a pace maker installed. In 3 weeks, he could not walk.
He said they put him to bed at 6PM. He also had pnuenmonia.
Thank goodness his family rescued him and nursed him back to normal.
I wouldn't send my sick dog to this place.

Beware! I can't tell you how complaints I currently have! I need to take my parents out of here before they kill them! Inmates receives better treatment! Late meals on a diabetic person? !? They have left my dad lay in urine for hours at a time? !? Have left my mom in the rest room for 30 minutes waiting to be return to bed!? !? Complaint fall in deaf ears! No ones calls you back unless you owe them money? !?

WHAT EVER YOU DON'T BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. They won't look after your family members and the place usually have a horrible smell. They are low on staff, which is bad if a loved family member needs to be check on around-the-clock due to medical trauma. They don't even have monitors to keep the vital signs of medical patients in check, which led to the death of a valued family member. I strongly do not recommend this nursing home for anyone.

I'm a Disabled Marine & the VA sent me there for Months while I was doing rehabilitation until I could walk again, the Primary Doctor in charge is Incompetent and a Jerk and they have some worthless nasty Nurses, I had never been treated so horribly, the food is awful, the place is old & dirty looking & they charge you a ridiculous amount of money to plug your own TV in and if u need one they give you a 1980s tiny little heavy box type TV and want $30 a month to use it (can get one for free at local Dump!) friggin just run, avoid place at all
