Was there many many years ago. Returned again to visit with friends for a weekend. Doubt very much I will be back does not seem that safe.
Pros: Got to stay for free. Stayed in the new E section able to enter through a separate entrance. No waiting at the gate while paperwork is done right there for those coming in for the weekend. Lots of stuff to do for kids not so much for the adults. Nice playgrounds situated around the park. Even a dog park.
Cons: Too big for their britches. Golf carts everywhere all hours of day and night. I was told security is not 24/7. Speed limit is 5 mph but carts going 25-30 mph. If you are not dodging a golf cart it’s a kid flying out of nowhere on a bicycle. Public is allowed in to use the amenities without visiting a person camping for a mere $5 which adds to the crowd. They are supposed to leave at 9 but many stay till 11.
Yes they have actives but you have to pay for them. Crafts, bingo, even the food at the Luau.
The dancers would have been nice if I could see them. The crowd was way too large. The pool is still nice, however how is a lifeguard going to be able to help if they are eating an ice cream cone? Even saw one in a guard chair eating nachos. Drink drink drunk seems to be the main activity for adults observed it at the pool, at bingo, riding around driving golf carts.
Management apparently thinks this is okay. But why not if it brings in the money? Sooner or later something is going to happen and because management does not see a problem it might bite them.
Store is nice but only takes cash. I even went to get propane and my friend who paid cash which went straight into the worker’s pocket no receipt. Makes me wonder what other shady things are happening. If I ran my business the way this place is ran, I would be out of business. Was told the place is for sale. Hopefully whomever buys it has the gumption to make big changes.

It was a holiday weekend and it looked like a lot of fun. We were there to drop off our grandson to his mom. They like the place and enjoyed their weekend.

We just got a campsite this past September and we love it. We havent gotten to experience the summer events here but i am a little disappointed in all the extra fees (most of the kids crafts cost extra) on top of what we are already paying yearly to keep a trailer here, we also have to pay for our guests to stay overnight at our campsite. The camper is in my parents name, and so for me and my boyfriend to come up every weekend its an additional 20$ per person to stay 2 nights or each of us pay $100 to be able to access the campsite at any time. I was just surprised that after how much we are already paying that our guests also have to pay to sleep on our campsite that is already paid for (if that makes any sense) and yes i know they do also provide free events and djs and concerts which is great, i just dont agree with their additional prices.
