Mountain Springs Lake Resort, Reeders PA

We are just about to end our 2 night stay in cottage #55. Would totally stay again. Extremely spacious, comfortable, great location, quiet and secluded but close enough to Camelback. I would ask management to put new shower heads in which are minimal cost, current ones are terrible, otherwise everything was phenomenal.

We just spent 5 days/4 nights in one of the Hill Suites. The suite was outstanding! Huge main area with king bed, sofa & 2 chairs, mini fridge & microwave, big screen TV, gas fireplace (which we didn’t use). The bathroom has a big walk-in shower with 4 (count ‘em, 4) shower heads - 1 regular one, 2 adjustable ones in the front wall that spray outwards at about waist height, and one big “rainfall” shower head overhead. Plus there’s a big jetted tub which was great after a long day of outdoor activities. The resort itself is a really large wooded property with a very picturesque lake. Very tranquil, peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. And just a short drive away are lots things to do, places to eat, activities to enjoy. We’re already planning our next visit.
Oh, one more thing - the woman at the reception desk in the office was absolutely delightful!

After the first night we waited for our room to be made up…
Talked to the office and was informed that we would have to clean up our own bathroom, make our bed, and go to the office to pickup our own fresh towels and amenities…REALLY? !
$400.00/night - (peak season) - and there are NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES? !
TERRIBLE CHOICE TO CUT SERVICES BUT STILL CHARGE A PREMIUM…for a bed -
AND your checkout time is STILL 10am on a Sunday…NO ONE IS CHECKING IN….
the least you can do is have a reasonable checkout time for the price - since I am doing my own housekeeping!
Let your guests sleep in a little bit and have time for coffee before you kick them out!

It’s a shame because the resort is beautiful - however the customer service is severely lacking!

I never write reviews, but this place is so wonderful that I have been singing its praises and just had to write a review. First, it's a great location with plenty to do. Second, it's so clean! The cabins are impeccable and the grounds are tended to regularly throughout each day. Third, the staff we encountered was very helpful and friendly. We loved the quiet lake beaches and the playground. The nature trail is absolutely beautiful and perfect for walking or biking. We had the best stay and I am already set on booking next year's trip!

We arrived after 9: 00 pm and picked up our credentials at the main office lock box. The directions could not have been clearer concerning every thing you might need to know along with a list of local restaurants. After a long day of traveling we went to our cabin and were floored by what we found when we opened the door. We booked our stay here due to the mostly favorable reviews posted online. We would definitely fall into that category! This place rocks! Super friendly staff, first class accommodations, impeccably clean grounds and soooo much more than we expected. We took a boat out on the scenic lake in the morning and caught numerous kinds of fish. All were released unharmed. It was so much fun. We will definitely be back and soon. Highly recommended!

This was our 4th visit to the resort and we already have 2 more lined up. We have stayed in the suites, a lakeside cabin, and once in a small cottage in the woods. The suites are gorgeous and modern with vaulted ceilings and have a great view of the grounds. They are more of a luxury hotel room with a microwave and espresso machine (I brought my own Keurig with me because I cannot go without my regular coffee). The cottages and cabins have kitchens that are stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. You will need to bring your own toiletries. We just came back from a stay in a lakeside cabin and this was our favorite so far for the location, view and access to the lake just steps from the front door. The fishing is unbelievable due to the perfect size of the lake and because the owners keep it stocked so well. We bring our own food so that we can make quick things to eat in between times out on the lake. You need to leave the resort to go out to eat, but that isn't our focus when we visit anyway, so it is a non-issue. We spoke with Amber at the front desk a few times while making our reservation this last time and she helped us pick out the best cabin location for what we wanted, which was somewhere quiet and with boat access steps away. We have also spoken with Nadine at the front desk and she is also quite amazing and helpful when making our reservations and during the check in and out process. This resort is a true getaway and we really love it here!

Just spent a weekend here, and have to admit we were very disappointed with our stay. First of all, the check in lady was rude and not very welcoming. I had a few questions and she quickly rushed me through check-in and handed me our packet. I also felt their website was misleading, and what we paid was not worth the price of staying for the weekend. I was told there was “a lot to do here” by the check in lady, but everything was closed and the only thing available was a quick 2mile hike around the lake. None of the boats or fishing gear were available for rent, which we were very disappointed by. Also there is no food available on site, you have to leave the resort every time you want to eat, and everything was about a 10-15min drive away depending on what you wanted to eat. Our cabin was beautiful and clean, which we loved. We also enjoyed the fireplace. But that was the only thing we enjoyed. For almost $1000 for a weekend, we were better off staying at a hotel somewhere else and looking for the public hiking options. However, we booked this trip over a year ago and had already out down a deposit so we were obligated to still go. We rebooked for the SAME weekend a year later and the price had gone up by $300-400 extra! Which I truly don’t understand, because as previously stated, there was not much to do and not much available. The resort was empty, and it wasn’t a busy weekend/holiday weekend so I’m not sure what could have made the price go up. I think this might have been more worth it had we been here for a wedding with a bigger group of people. Overall, very disappointed and would not recommend.

My cabin was amazing.

The fireplace added a great ambiance for a romantic getaway.

Also the shower is next level, you may enjoy it the most with a rain shower head and 3 additional side jets.

The venue and cabins were nice and the food was good.big but here though. A little over a month before the wedding they raised the price of the reception by 10%. The invitations were already sent out so there was no way to adjust the invite list to make up the difference. I can't give them a good review after what they did. Be careful if you book with them.

Great place to go for corporate events, film parties, weddings, etc. The Autumn Fall Season is the best, there's a certain magic in the air especially around September, October, and November, although anytime is great to go really. The photograph pictured is of one of their driveways. Food is great. There's a large open bar if you drink? Staff is great.

We stayed at a beautifully appointed unit in a newer part of the property. Not only was it spotless, but the furnishings were top notch and the views were lovely. Will come again.

Beautiful and spacious room, very friendly and accommodating staff, and clean facility. A gem in the Poconos.

I really enjoy this spot. Quiet setting, with a really nice walking/running trail around the lake. A little pricey but it's worth the reprieve.

Been coming here for years and love it! Will certainly be back! It was my gfs first time here and she had such a blast and was amazed at her experience and all the stuff to be done around the resort and on the lake. Would certainly recommend.

A family owned small business with handmade natural products for sale in their office. Well kept grounds, lovely and clean cabins. Sweet playgrounds and an abundance of nature!

Perfect getaway, relaxing lake views and comfortable cabins. Staff was wonderful if needed, but most of the time we were peaceful let alone. The lake was beautiful, we even got a row boat to go on the lake the last day. I wouldn’t swim in it but we did see a lot of fish and birds land on it.

Absolutely gorgeous rooms. Everything was brand new, well kept, and extremely clean. The staff in the office were super nice and accommodating. Grounds were gorgeous. We only stayed for a night, but we'll definitely be back to enjoy the grounds more!

Awesome place. Very well appointed cabins. Tremendous space for one or two families.
Only two issues:
- WiFi kept dropping
- sound travels within the cabin, so no creates a lot of noise

Beautiful resort. Pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom hemlock cottage and it was perfect. Rooms were immaculate. Cottage was stocked with all bathroom and kitchen amenities needed including paper and cleaning products. It was quiet, relaxing and a gorgeous view. My family and I loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Room was great. Everything was clean. A bit of confusion finding the entrance to the cabins.
