Movie Tavern Exton reviews
42Decided to go back again to see if my experience would.b better than last one. It was a better experience, but the prices of food is ridiculously high. Food was what u can see. Somewhat small for it's price.
This was a very different experience. Being as though covid changed alot of things they were short staffed an the whole process was unclear. After you purchase your tickets you are handed this piece of paper in which you order food from. No one brings it to you anymore so you have to leave the movie whenever its ready. I never got the paper because no one was there to direct me to which theater. So I sat in the movie for about 20 mins before I walked out the movie to see what was going on. When I recieved my food it was good thats why its a 3 star rating. Needless to say ill still go back but next time I know what to do.
Love the location. Understanding they are short staffed. Bartender was great. Food was below expectations.
It’s open again! Went there in June 2021 and the staff was very friendly. The only downside is that due to the covid protocols, you have to place bar orders in person up front and can’t order them from your seat, and you order food through their app now instead of being handed a menu. I will update this review once they are fully back to normal, but for now 4/5.
FOOD POISONING. Be careful with the food. I had a cheeseburger and some wings. Just woke up in the middle of the night, I’m throwing up and my stomach is killing me. They probably use the same food, they had before COVID. Never again.
Dinner (or lunch or breakfast) with a movie in leather recliners. Fun, relaxing, and you don't have to clean dishes afterwards.
Owner changed to Marcus group.they changed the menu-and not for the better. The popcorn butter is disgusting- no longer the more expensive Orville butter. The tickets are more expensive by at least $3 each ticket. My former favorite cranberry walnut salad now has sweet potatoes. Wth.
I Love the food, l however it can be a bit pricey.terrific service very friendly staff always making sure you are taken care of.amazing movie quality sound and visually.comfy seats reclining for comfort easy to fall asleep.overall apealing and comforting expierience for any movie.
Comfortable theater and great value if you catch their $5 movie Tuesday (you also get a free little popcorn!)! Sadly, the food is expensive and pretty garbage. We tried the Game Day Platter, thinking we could try a bit of everything and have enough to share but it was tiny and we picked around stringy wings and soggy mini sliders. Soft drinks are close to $5 a piece, and we paid $12 for a Bloody Mary that was basically tomato juice. My advice: go for the recliners and $5 movie, but eat before you get there.
Great staff, great service, clean location, good food choices (although VERY pricey, but what theater ISN'T nowadays? !). Comfortable saying, especially for someone, like me, who is physically disabled. Thanks Movie Tavern! STILL our family favorite!
I was just visiting the area and went here. Love this experience.wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with good food and good drinks. Need one of these where I live
Not always on the ball, but this place is really great to spend time with family and friends and see great movies
Loved the experience. Food was good and moreover service is very neat and just perfect. Even the front seats weren’t that bad. Would love to again any time. Huge parking around the building.
What a great idea, watch great movies while being served awesome food and beer, wine or cocktails. The chairs recline and if you don't like the movie it's so comfy you can take a nap.
They have a good selection of movies. The only thing I don't like is feeling like I have to buy something. But I really need to get over that
While expensive, the food is really good and I was impressed with how good the customer service was.
Would be 5 stars, but their beer mug doesn't fit in their seat drink holders. Seems silly to me, but I'm full of beer right now.
This is an update. I had an issue with food quality the last time I was there. The GM contacted me and was very serious and considerate with my issue. He explained the reasons, and provided me with vouchers for a new movie. I am very pleased with their customer service and will edit this review when I try it out again.
Only reason why not five stars is I've only been once will increase after s few visits depending. Great food, we were surprised, clean comfortable theater and excellent staff. We wanted for nothing. Pricey, but typical for this type of experience: lux movie theater.
Best seats. All of the seats- except those on the floor- are awesome. The new food menu is better but still not great and probably not worth the price. There is a bar and many good choices but again, it is quite expensive. There are specialty drinks that have a theme for some of the movies thst are playing, which is cool. There are very limited dessert choices. They also have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 2: 00pm.
