$89 just for the guy to not even do anything to actually diagnose the issue before giving an absolutely outrageous estimate.

So appreciative that they took my call and immediately sent someone out to resolve an issue for me on a Sunday afternoon, I couldn’t get any other local companies to return my call. Amazing customer service, I will definitely call them again.

I paid $400 for 1 hour of labor and $25 of materials/parts to replace an exterior hose bib. They get you with the $89 dispatch fee and then give you the over-the-top estimate on the spot. A consumer would do well to look elsewhere with upfront material and labor rates. They came out the same day which was a positive. The plumber spent more time sitting in my driveway after replacing the hose bib then he actually spent replacing it. I finally went out to see about paying the invoice and he said, "oh, I'll sit here another 20 minutes to make sure they don't try to send me somewhere else today". Maybe I just got a bad plumber. The work was also poor quality so it was an overall fail for Mr. Rooter.

Although they were willing to accommodate me late at night, I was not given a price for the potential work prior to beginning and the bill was $400 to retrieve a bottle from inside the toilet. The technician was professional and friendly but did not tighten the bolts enough when putting the toilet back on and thus it leaked from the tank all night and caused water damage. They were able to get a tech in early enough the next day and did not charge me for him to tighten the bolts. So ultimately, the job was completed but at a steep fee and over two technicians.

The guys that worked on our home were very professional. They gave me an estimate and halfway thru the job let me know that they didn’t need to do a portion of the job because it was in good condition and actually saved me $400 from my agreed price! Who does that? My Mr. Rooter plumber does! Thank you!

I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I’m so angry and disgusted over this. Mr. Rooter technician quoted us an $8,000 job (after charging $1100 to snake and scope our pipes). We said we wanted a few days to think about it. After talking to a family friend of ours, he recommended a local plumber. We had him come do an inspection and he said “everything is in perfectly fine working order, that guy was a jack*ss”. He charged us $150 to snake and scope the drain. This company is a huge RIPOFF. Take your business anywhere else.

Make sure you never use Mr. Rooter for any plumbing services. Their prices are incredibly high. I was charge $735 for a one hour minor repair that was subsequently quoted $175 by several other plumbers afterward. Beware of the major rip off you are going to encounter if you are insane enough to use them as I did. I’m hoping others will benefit from my huge mistake.

I needed a camera inspection done on a property of mine so I tried out Mr. Rooter. Most camera inspections cost between $50-$150 for an inspection. Rooter told me they start at $89.99 for a basic test, which is what I was having done. There is a cap in the yard for them to tap into easily as well. Before they even started, the Tech told me it would be $400 for the test. Without even looking at it. Their tech Brian was very nice and prices are out of his hand so no quarrels with him.

Our plumber Desimond was very helpful and on time. He had the problem handled quickly and efficiently and left the bathroom very neat after he was done. I would highly recommend.

A bit expensive and materials were not available for the job. Technition had to go out but them. Technition was very professional and polite

I very highly recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing. The professionalism and efficiency of the profess of installing the back up system for my basement sump pump exceeded my expectations in terms of the quality of the service and the speed of the installation. In addition, I would like to commend the quality of the service I received from Robert Beall, the Mr. Rooter team member who visited to install the backup unit. In addition to providing excellent service and his transparency and honesty concerning rates, Robert also provided unrelated but valuable plumbing advice which may save me from a serious misadventure involving my basement gas-lines next winter. More broadly, I by choosing Mr. Rooter I may have chosen not to have a flooded basement over the coming year.

BUYER BEWARE! Use someone else
My mother's main line backed up. A colleague suggested I call Mr. Rooter. She they are good and only cost $95 to clear the line. I called Mr. Rooter and the receptionist said there is a $89 dispatch fee. I figured if I agreed to the work, it would be folded into the cost. The guy came cleared the line, suggested a $5200 job to permanently fix the issue that he claimed he was giving me a bargain, and gave me a bill for that day's service of almost $200 which was the $89 PLUS $95. When I told my colleague, she show me her bill and she was only charged $95 for the same service. I called the main number and asked for an explanation. I was told they would push this to accounting and someone would get back to me. That was last week. Reading reviews, sadly after the fact, and that seems to be there go to move telling people "accounting" will call them and no one ever does. Maybe it is price gouging and I should call the Attorney General.

Mr. Rooter sent a plumber to my house quickly after requesting service. However, the plumber spent maybe 10 minutes trying to camera my sewer line through the clean out before he mentioned my outdoor trap was collapsed and we would need to dig up the sewer line. I then called another company who came out and was able to snake my clean out and open everything up. They then proceeded to camera my sewer line and showed me everything looked good. What would have cost me thousands only cost me a couple hundred. Save your money and look elsewhere

I do not want to get into the nitty-gritty details of the events, but I DO want to talk about our experience with Mr. Rooter. (Sewage back up and house trap replacement with basement excavation)

We had some ups and downs, and not everything went according to plan. HOWEVER, Anthony H.was there every step of the way. He gave us honest information and details with the first ER Service call. He answered all of our questions in a helpful, professional way so that we could make the best decisions for our home. He was there getting things on track when finance company messed up our quote. He was available via phone call or text, always. He kept us in the loop and helped us keep informed on the progress of the situation, and when yet another issue popped up.he wasn't even here but he stopped by personally after it was handled.

He's a good person, with a good heart, who really cares about his work and the work of the guys sent in when he isn't here. MR Rooter is lucky to have a leader like Anthony on their team who can speak so frankly with customers and help them feel at ease.

Scott and john went above and beyond repairing a gas leak in my home. They were on time and went right to work. They finished work quickly and were very easy going yet professional throughout. Very pleased with repairs and experience.

Overpriced and possibly a scam.

I called Mr. Rooter yesterday because of a sink drain that was partially blocked. They came fairly quickly, which was a plus, but their charge for snaking the drain was close to $300, which was, I think, too high. Next time, I will try a plumber.

But then they told me that my garbage disposal needed to be replaced, and they showed me a pipe that connected the unit to the drain that appeared to be corroded as well as the fact that the unit was loose and wobbling. In hindsight, I should have questioned whether the whole unit needed to be replaced or whether the part could have been replaced and the unit's installation could have been fixed. And then they said that they could install a new unit for a whopping $610.65, or, if I supplied the new unit, for $468.63. All of that struck me as fishy, so I said I would get back to them. This morning I bought a very good new disposal on sale at Lowes for $199 and called a guy I use for appliance repairs. He just installed it for $85, so total cost was $285. The kicker is that he said that the old unit actually worked fine. And the Mr. Rooter guys had taken the pipe they said was damaged with them, so I cannot verify if this was a scam or not. But needless to say, I sure wouldn't recommend them.
