Broken rice combo with sherreded pork, char broiled pork, quiche, omelet with a grilled chicken add-on was amazing!

While Nam Phuong boasts a spacious dining area, it's important to note that the venue can get quite busy during weekends. The restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, and service are pretty standard, neither outstanding nor disappointing. As for the food, I found it to be mediocre at best, leaning more towards the average side. A major drawback, however, is the parking situation. The restaurant shares a shopping plaza with a bustling supermarket and various other retail outlets and eateries, which makes parking especially challenging on the weekends. If you're planning a visit, brace yourself for a potential parking hunt!

The website may be nice but the food and the restaurant overall is not. The food that we were served was pretty poor. There was no heart or even any effort put in to the food. The waiter who served us had no interest at all, and did not even know what was on the menu. Would not recommend anyone to go there. This is not a good representation of Vietnamese food.

Not the same as it used to be when it opened, but than again like most places, good in fact great then later down the line it just falls off

Good food at reasonable prices. I recommend the bamboo duck noodle soup; if you can stand the smell of the fermented bamboo, it really adds something to an otherwise standard dish. Adding so much chili that the soup leaves red stains on the bowl is strictly optional.)

I have a West Philly pal with whom I have a friendly rivalry concerning which is better: W Philly or S Philly? (The answer is S. Philly. Some may disagree, but they are wrong.) One time my wife and I took her out here to show off the S. Philly cuisine. And it was the ONLY time I was disappointed. Every previous visit it was fantastic, and this time it was just OK. I had talked the place up and it was a little embarassing. I didn't go back for a while. A few nights ago, we returned and it was just like I remembered. Clearly my one mediocre experience was an anomaly. It's just a shame it happened when I was showing off S. Philly. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. So all you other S. Philly culinary ambassadors out there: bring your out-of-town or from-a-different-part-of-town friends here to showcase little Saigan on Washington Avenue and this place in particular. How well do we eat here in S. Philly? Very very well indeed. West Philly can bite me!

(Or better yet, bite the eggplant with garlic sauce. You'll be glad you did. Probably.)

Family visit from out of town and we had a great dinner gathering in Nam Phuong. We had a great time. Good food, good service. We definitely will be back.

I have been here 5 times different seasons, in the summer, fall and winter. Besides spring rolls, vermicelli and the soup dishes, their fried/grilled meaty dishes seem a little undercooked. What bothers me most here are the flies, I don't know if this gets taken care of or not. I mean everytime I visited there are flies circling around the foods. The seating and atmosphere is pleasant and not too crowded, one of the main reasons why my bosses likes to meet up here for dinner. The food prices are reasonable and delicious except the mentioned meaty meals. The waiters are always diligent, refilling your water or tea.

Went here for lunch. I thought the restaurant’s decor was nice and clean. Food was really good. And to top it off the service was great. Will come here again especially for the steak pho.

I came here for Authentic Vietnamese food for last 5 years. Always great food and prompt services. Never had a bad meal. Quality was consistent.

I've been dining at Nam Phuong for over 15 yrs. It's had its ups and downs as any restaurant does, but the food has always remained tasty! IMO they still have one of the best Spring Rolls and Pork Vermicelli in the city. Better than any place you'll find in Chinatown. The seafood soup is also fabulous. I've never had a bad meal here, but I will admit better Pho can be had elsewhere. The dining room is nicer than average but while the servers are friendly, service is minimalistic. Definitely a must try for lovers of Vietnamese food.

The grill platter (shrimp ball, sausage and beef grape leaves) is excellent, everything else so so.

My go to pho place recommended by a chef from Philly. Get the make it yourself summer roll appetizer. Really good.

I enjoy Nam Phuong. The food is good, prepared quickly, and the service is efficient.
The ambience is dated yet I think it is cute. It could use some deep cleaning yet I enjoy enjoy.

Best Vietnamese restaurant with authentic food and dessert. I love spicy noodle soup and pho. Excellent taste with reasonable price.

I've been here three times now and yesterday was my first time in five years that I was finally able to go back down to Philly. I had high expectations for the food because it was always tasty in the past but it seems like the quality of the restaurant has gone downhill. I ordered the set menu for 4 people, which had 5 dishes. The claypot braised fish and black bean sauce clams were too salty. The egg rolls had no meat and were refried so they looked almost burnt. It was very overpriced for $90. Hopefully, they can improve on the quality of the food because it was once a great restaurant.
