Natural Lands' Stone Hills Preserve reviews
7 When I googled "stroller friendly trails near me" this popped up. I had never been and saw it was fairly close to me so my kids and I took a drive. NOT stroller friendly. The trails are short and rocky (which should be obvious from the name 'stone hills').
However, it would still be a lovely trail to walk with kids older than mine or on your own if you're looking for a short little adventure. (A carrier would be better for this terrain if they're still little.)
Small walking trails in the woods. SMALL. Don't expect multiple mile loops, I think the largest trail is. 5 miles.
One of the smaller Natural Lands preserves, so it doesn't take long to walk all the trails. But still a nice wooded area with a steam running through it. Don't skip it when checking out all if the area's Natural Lands locations.
Very damp trail but recently tended to. I would definitely recommend hiking boots or heavier shoes if there have been recent rains. Nice quiet and serene setting for approximately 20 minutes walking from trailhead to either end and back.
It's a nice option to take a half mile or less hike in the forest. The trails are not marked adequately, but it doesn't matter because the trail (s) is short and it is carved out enough to stay on course. Lush trees, wildflowers, and a creek run through this pretty place.
Great little hike with stream that's perfect for children especially toddlers. It will be boring for older more experienced kids. Well maintained, but tiny if you want a longer trail experience, this isn't for you.
The trails are very short and the blazes are terrible. Super hard to see and few and far between. I was running and I lost the trail numerous times.
