They maybe good at cutting but no one ever answers the phone or email. If you have a question don’t think you will get someone to respond

I got the haircut a little over a month ago and I’m writing the review now because I wanted to be fair. I had my hair cut at Natural state for the first time. I came in the space is really cute. My hairdresser was friendly we did a consultation and I told her where I wanted my hair cut to, she confirmed and began cutting. I soon realized it was way shorter than I indicated but by that time she had already cut a significant amount. There wasn’t much more back and forth between us at the appointment but I left in tears. The haircut itself wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great and the resulting shape was not flattering. I’ve never had my hair cut with that technique before and I think the results show. A little more than a month later it still feels “meh” to me.

Wow! I can't even begin to express how amazing my experience was at Natural State with Brianna. After anxiously searching for someone competent enough to work with my curls and two years without a haircut, Brianna worked her magic and completely transformed my curly hair. I used to rely on over 10 styling products, but Brianna recommended the perfect one for me, simplifying my routine. In addition to several tips, curly hair myth debunks, and tricks, she also taught me how to diffuse my hair, which has been a game-changer. I'm forever grateful and won't go anywhere else for my haircuts. Brianna is an absolute gem!

I’ve got fine curly hair and I’ve struggled to find someone who knows what to do with it. Brianna gave me a dry cut and excellent advice for maintaining my curls between cuts. My hair hasn’t looked this good in years! So glad I found this place

Coette and Brianna are color geniuses- every time, my color looks amazing! To top it off, they give a fantastic trim/cut. I am happy to see either of them. And, all the stylists in the salon are friendly and they create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

They say if you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment that you don't get a refund, but then they cancelled my appointment day of and rescheduled it for a random day that wouldn't work for me without even calling me.

I really liked the gender neutral aspect of this place and would like to go eventually and hopefully edit this review. For now though it looks like my hair plans for Christmas are ruined.edit*
I finally went they're awesome:)

I wanted to give my honest opinion of this hair salon. To preface, I have very long, thick, dark, curly hair and I wear my hair both curly and blown out. The very first time I came here was over the summer and I decided to do a dry curly cut. Brianna was the stylist and I thought she did a good job at this appointment. Nothing that really blew me away to be honest, but it was a well done curly cut and style, so I decided to come back. For my next appointment, I wanted a curly trim, a balayage, and a blowout. I came to my appointment a few minutes early, and she told me it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, I was finally taken. When I explained to her what I wanted, she made it seem through her reaction that those three services I was requesting would be too difficult for her to manage. Because of her off reaction, I just told her to skip the trim and just do the color and blowout. I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get a trim like I wanted, as I discussed this with her in my first appointment and she said it could be done, I put it in the notes when I booked online, and reminded her when she needed to reschedule my appointment over the phone a week prior. But it wasn’t really a big deal so I let it go. She had also told me all the appointments are timed correctly and to let her know next time if I wanted a blowout, even though on their website it says all color jobs come with a styling service. To me, this came off as she was trying to blame me for her lack of ability to manage her time. I had leftover blonde highlights from a prior color job from a few years ago, but it was mostly grown out. For this color appointment, I basically wanted chocolate brown highlights and had shown her a picture. My appointment was at 2: 15P. I was taken at 3: 00P and she told me she would be done with my hair at 7: 00P. For my hair, this is something I am used to with color, so I agreed. Her general timing I would say is very off, because I didn’t leave until after 9: 00P, and the end result looked like there were no highlights in my hair at all. She had apparently over-toned it, and it just looked dark and one dimensional. I had spent over six hours at the salon with a result that looked like nothing was done with my color. She did acknowledge this and said if I was dissatisfied with the service that she wouldn’t charge me, which I appreciated. But I figured the color would look okay the more I wash it out, and the blowout was okay in the salon, so I just paid for the service as normal. As far as the blowout however, she didn’t use any product or heat protectant, and as a result it was not sleek, looked frizzy, and it fell out the next day and I had to touch it up myself right away. It also took her a very long time to straighten my hair. She mentioned to me she doesn’t really do blowouts, which I honestly thought was so bizarre because I've just never in my life heard of a hair stylist that doesn’t really do blowouts. Overall, this salon was underwhelming, and I will not be returning because I need a hairstylist who is my one stop shop and can do any service I ask for and do it well. I need a hairdresser who is exceptional to handle my head of hair, and that was simply just not the case with Briana. I would say if you wanted curly services and curly services only, this salon is okay for that. But if you want anything else done, I’d say skip this place and find somewhere else.

Angel is one of the best barbers I have cut my hair she is fast and very talented the salon is so cozy and cute each stylist has their own unique talent to the salon it's never over booked and noisy very calm atmosphere they even have a garden sitting area

I’ve been going here for 3 years now and I have never had a bad haircut! Not only does Coette and her team perfectly shape and trim my curly hair, but she also teaches me how to take care of it to get my dream hairstyle. They are great with all hair types and all hairstyles. 10/10 would recommend to anybody with any type of hair.

I'm so glad my daughters and I found this salon. We first came here when my oldest wanted to start the new school year with a fresh cut and some blue highlights. Bri did an amazing job - it came out better than my daughter could have hoped for. The space is so welcoming and comfortable. Brianna always takes the time to give us what we want without rushing, and we are always seen on schedule. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Just got the haircut of a lifetime (legit my favorite haircut ever) from Brianna! Love that she took the time to ask what I wanted and delivered just that. I already can't wait to come back! Also, I really appreciate the laid back atmosphere this salon provides. Speaking as a curly gal with severe haircut anxiety, I have found my place and stylist-this means A LOT. Thank you, Brianna! Brianna is the only stylist I have ever allowed to touch my hair. I have gone through many seasons with my hair- long, short, blonde, dark, funky colors, the list goes on! Brianna has always comforted me when I felt like I was making crazy hair choices!
Not only do I feel confident in the chair, the shops environment is unmatchable! The music, the smells, the chats, the encouragement from everyone around you! WOW!
