Nazareth Prep, Emsworth PA

This was definitely a great school pre-pandemic! It went completely down hill after! So many teachers just quit in the middle of the year this past school year to go work somewhere else and the kids were attempting to be taught in school by “teachers” that were online in another country and not in person. Those “teachers” barely spoke English and the Internet connection was very poor and the children could hardly understand but were expected to keep up a certain grade point average and wasn’t offered any help since they couldn’t understand the person online. Kids weren’t allowed in school with any kind of cold symptoms (which is understandable due to covid) but were punished for missing days and not offered any extra time or help to make up missing work. Then after my son attending since the 9th grade through the pandemic and all, they randomly decide his senior year that they decided to make the school smaller and get rid of so many kids and gave my son and many others the boot! His senior year thought? !? ! They also got rid of many teachers as well! The staff is not very helpful or very friendly either. They put on a show in the beginning to get you in and make you sign a contract with them for your child to attend, so that you are responsible if you break the contract and pull your child out but they have no consequences if they break it? It makes ZERO sense! I would not recommend this school to anyone at all! There are other private high schools in the Pittsburgh area that are much much better and more caring and more about your child band their individual needs! This school needs closed down or all new staff to go in and redo their entire way of doing things!

I was expecting my child to receive a QUALITY education here. Initially I gave a bad review however, it does seem as if they are trying to communicate with parents now about issues that I feel are important such as the internships and academic support, ect. Communication is the key to success!

This school is a joke the teachers are unprofessional the school bus driver is unprofessional the whole school is unprofessional you pay a tuition for your child to attend this school and it no better than Pittsburgh Public.
