I have called repeatedly about touring apartments where I have gotten rude abrasive responses for no reason. I was told to write down all places which I was interested in but also was scolded for picking "too many places. " When I kindly asked how many places I was allowed to tour, I was given a very sassy response which I did not appreciate. I am SHOCKED at how rude the people who work here are. It is as if they do not want to rent their apartments. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

You'd think for a realty group they'd actually want to get people in to tour and sign on leases. The staff was not very accommadating and rather rude over the phone.

They take a long time in providing appointments for apartment tours and
even cancelled a tour at the very last moment after I had already reached the destination. I also found their staff (whether over the phone or in-person) fairly curt and unhelpful in terms of responding to queries.

New Age has been a blessing to me since I moved here to Philadelphia Pennsylvania from Florida since 2017

I filled out a application for a lease takeover. I was denied due to some errors on my report. I've removed said errors and no one will call be back. The tenant has even reached out and they gave her the run around. Very unprofessional and non responsive. Take your business somewhere else. Upper management is a joke and I will be reporting to the BBB.

We viewed the appartment. During the tour the guy could tell us nothing about the place and was underinformed. Then even though the place was off the market the next day he suggested we would fill out the application that night. This was $50 per person and it would take 2 days after this before it went off the market. Overall, uninformed and sneaky.

Roaches! Is all I have to say.

*In Response to Nicole - I no longer reside in any of your properties. I left when my lease ended because you could NOT take care of the infestation when I requested it. My apartment was clean & spotless. FYI, I took on my husband's last name after we got married, so searching for me in your data base now is a waste of your time. I'm entitled to my review. New Age Realty Group certainly did manage the property so don't even try going there. You're only making yourself look even worse.

They took over for the previous management of the Lexington building in early February, so I cannot give a detailed review of my experience with New Age. While I did move recently move out of the Lexington building, I was surprised by how fairly New Age actually treats people. Most rental agencies don't do that, try as they might.

I have never felt so disrespected by a company. I moved into a property with broken windows and blinds, stove and radiator issues, and a clogged sink. New Age please don't get on my review trying to argue with me like how you do all the others. It wasn't until 8 months in that someone did something substantial for the sink clogs after I kept having sewage splash my ankles from the drain put into the bathroom floor. The plumbers finally realized the drain was clogged from outside the building. (mind you the sink is still messed up). I don't know how many times our alarm system has gone off and I had to wake up and turn it off in the middle of my sleep. In the middle of pandemic New Age sends a message 4 months before my lease ends to see if I'm staying or not, but to tell them in "6 days" because if I don't they will list the property anyways. I am currently on my way out, but i get an email today saying, "We have an appointment to show your apartment at _ time, let us know if you have questions. " Yes, what about being considerate? On top of having to pay a security deposit plus application fee at the same time. I have never felt so violated. New Age before you try to gentrify all of Philly, make sure you can actually handle the properties you currently have. This was the last straw

Have tried to reach out for multiple properties over several months and have not been able to get a response to phone calls or email inquiries on multiple occasions. I was finally able to schedule a tour, the soonest they could do was a week later, and then they cancelled it hours before hand.

Contacted this company about a property in the 19104 zipcode and was told a time and date for a tour (which I now know is totally illegal). Show up 10 minutes before the given time, and the owner (Nick) is 20 minutes late. Once he arrives, he gives us the tour and thankfully the tenants were alright with it. After the tour we discuss ways to move forward and lock in the property and Nick says there's some forms to send over. We ask him to send them over ASAP, and he does not respond. Next day we ask AGAIN for the papers, he said he will send them in 30 minutes and NOTHING is sent. Over the next week, 3 of us try to contact him repeatedly to get the process in motion and there is NO FORMS SENT. 10 days later, after putting our search on hold the property is taken OFF THE MARKET with NO NOTICE to us or ANY RESPONSE from Nick. Nick lacked professionalism and we suffered as a result, take your business elsewhere.

Very unprofessional company. They broke into my room today and changed the locks while I wasnt home and didnt even let me know because apparently having a lock on my door is against code.
I NEVER RECEIVED A SINGLE NOTICE OR WARNING! BIG LIES! Damien the service coordinator is the only respectful and professional employee of New Age Realty.

Their response:
Thank you for your review. I understand you were upset, but to be clear, you had a deadbolt on your bedroom door, which is a fire hazard and against code. After multiple warnings and requests to remove and/or keep unlocked for a walk thru, we did send a locksmith to unlock the deadbolt. We didn't change any locks.

I worked with Bob Lynch-Kraley over the last few weeks to find an apartment in Philadelphia and I had the most amazing experience. The apartment search process is anxiety ridden as it is and then I had decided to wait until the very last minute to do it so that added to the stress, but Bob made the process feel so easy and gave me quality options. He listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond to help find exactly what I was looking for. He is honest and trustworthy and that goes a long way in this market. I also was very last minute with my schedule changes and availability for looking at units and he worked around it all-very flexible. I ended up renting a property that I had no seen with Bob but I am leaving this review because of the incredible experience I did have with him. Can't recommend him enough!

This company will send a random stranger to come and film your apartment for showings in the middle of a pandemic. They will not take "no" for an answer, even if you offer pictures.

Edited to add:
And they will have repeat showings even though Philadelphia's government said there is a HIGH RISK OF COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION.

I didn't end up renting with New Age Realty Group but I wanted to up their ratings with an honest review. Like everybody else I was turned off by the reviews, but after research I learned it is quite common for management companies to have horrible reviews the reason being that property managers work for the landlord and not the tenants. Or rather, they are the middle man between the two. While I don't particularly like this business model it can sometimes be more professional than dealing with a private landlord.

At any rate, I came to New Age Realty as a potential tenant moving out-of-state. They were very accommodating, and even though they had video tours available - something many properties and agents neglect to do at this time - they were still not reluctant to conduct virtual, interactive tours with me.

I made a holding/security deposit fully intending to move into the place less than a week later. However, over the weekend I received some unexpected news and had to reconsider my move entirely. I had already lost a lot of money simply making plans to move in the first place and losing the holding deposit would just be another punch in the gut.

Even so, holding deposits aren't usually refundable, and the leasing office pretty much re-iterated that policy. But after continuing to talk to them and the associated property manager they actually refunded me the whole amount (and that was after I simply asked for a partial refund.)

Now, this is not to say that people should make security deposits willy-nilly and expect to be refunded. I believe mine was a special circumstance. You should absolutely know you want the place and intend to move there at the specified date before making a security deposit.

This is just to say that there are human people even behind large companies. While I disagree fundamentally with how the rental market operates in general, it's nice to know that there are some exceptions and nice faces to look forward to.

IDK why they are getting all the bad reviews. I have experienced 4 landlords over 6 years at The Lexington - Resilife, npdf, Altman; all were worse than the previous. New Age have been the best landlords for a very small period of time as they just took over that property. And you can already observe their professionalism. Although, I can relate to some of the reviews about their agents being clueless. But hey, let's be fair, they are better than most others out there.

Stay FAR AWAY from 1521 S. Ringgold St. The owner is motivated by pure greed. House is extremely outdated and in bad condition. Raised rent from $1,200 which is already overpriced for this property to $1,400. Do yourself a favor and do not rent this place.

Rare that they answer the phone, although the lady that handles calls is the only pleasant experience, she's actually helpful. Eric the property manager is very sneaky and untrustworthy so be careful of that.

Be cautious of renting anything from New Age, they are very deceptive with there descriptions and pictures that they provide. Make sure you note every single bit of damage/abnormality.

I scheduled a showing for one of their properties. The guy was about 10-15 minutes late, and the whole time his attitude was VERY WEIRD and did not seem professional at all. I asked him questions regarding the super old and big internet machine in the room and he wasn’t able to answer it clearly or at least politely, all he said was: ” I don’t know! Last time I came here it work. ” Like what? I’ve had so many viewing experiences recently and I lived at apartments managed by two management companies in Philly before, I have never met such an unprofessional, rude agent. His attitude honestly made me and my friend believe that he didn’t care about whether we are interested in it or not, he just wanted to finish the job and leave lol this company needs to train their people’s attitude for sure.
