I started NCST welding program with very little welding experance, that amounted to mostly bad habbits. I was pleased with NCST’s curriculum, and very impressed with the way its welding instructors implemented it. Before I came to NCST I attended Triangle tech, a welding school in Pittsburgh, for a few months. While at Triangle tech I barely even got to touch a welder in the time I was there. It was all classroom theory for the first few months, and no welding. When we finally got to go to the welding lab, it was two people per both. Thier instructors liked to use big words and tried to sound like college professors. We were micro managed. After I very disastifidly was unenrollled from Triangle Tech, I attemped to teach myself via Youtube. But with so much contradicting information out there, there is only so much you can learn from a video, without a physical welding instructor inspecting your welds. At NCST, the welding curriculum is tried and true. It will teach you from scratch to weld with all the most common and in demand welding processes. I am a very hard working, ambitious person. I have been able to complete my projects well before they are due and jump to whatever welding procces I am most intressed in mastering. Never once have they told me I had reached my limit on the welding materials I use in my spare time. If you are serious about learning how to weld and don't want to spend half your time in a classroom, NCST will be a good fit for you. The thing I like most about NCST is its instructors keep there instructions as simple as posible, so that everyone can understand. When it comes down to it “a good weld is just heat angle and speed” Mr. Black.

Went here recently for Industrial Maintenance program, very good but could be longer to cover more. Excellent instructors that care about you, office staff is wonderful as well. Well worth the time to go here!

You can’t go to school for a CDL and have a regular full time job because the 6 month course is only available Monday-Friday during work hours. Unless you’re still living with your parents or are fortunate enough to not need a job this isn’t even an option. Some of us have to work and support families but are looking for more. Ridiculous.

New Castle School of Trades helped me obtain my Class A CDL. The CDL instructors are very knowledgeable and have many years of experience in the trucking field. I did the 5 day a week class. Several weeks of book work then off into the field to practice maneuvers and driving. The trucking recruiters come right to the classroom which made it nice while looking for a career. I ended up going with one of the trucking companies that the school had come in. Had a small class of 6 which made it easier for more 1 on 1 with the instructors. Obtaining my CDL through New Castle School of Trades has changed my life and help get my back on my feet after being laid off.

I’m currently enrolled at NCST in the electrical program. I’m so dissatisfied with the school as a whole and the electrical program as a whole is a complete disorganized mess. I travel over 80 miles and pay 6 dollars in tolls round trip to go there for an education that is lackluster to say the least. Also I must address the ridiculously high turnover rate of instructors just in the first two quarters alone. 5 different instructors in 12 weeks? Give me a break! Im working on transferring to rosedale technical institute which is much closer to where I live. Don’t waste your money here!

Good programs for trades that will always be needed, but, for at least the automotive program to much classroom time versus what was related when I first signed up for the class. Also, to much non-related "homework" for the courses.

I regret the initial review that I had left sometime ago out of frustration it was not a fair review. My field of study is Automotive on the PM program.

I would like to say that my instructors Mr. Grandy, Mr. Matter, and Mr. Riggs are all very great. As well as very enthusiastic and informative.

I truly believe they want students to excel and have the knowledge that is necessary to be an entry level technician. You definitely will get what you put in. You got to invest in yourself in order for the program to invest in you, if that makes sense?

School is a joke. Zero communication with students unless they want your money. They're cheaters and liars. Classes are so unorganized and for the most time non beneficial to your career. Was just watching my money burn in front of me the whole time I was there. I tried numerous times to contact them to share my concerns for them to never return my calls after multiple messages left. Never hesitated to continue to send me bill reminders though. Save your money and time and consider school elsewhere. Total joke of a "school"

The teachers here actually take their time with their students to make sure that everyone understands. The school has alot of hands on classes. This a great school to attend!

Enjoyed my time there attending the commercial driver training. I felt that all the instructors I worked with were very friendly and knowledgeable. They brought in pleanty of recruiters and explained what to look for so I feel like I'm making well informed decisions on how I use my commercial drivers license.
