New City View Diner, Whitehall PA

Ordered online and when I arrived they didn’t even start my order and it was ordered an hour before. Never even noticed the order was sent. Missed an order of bacon and this is what I received for 4 bucks off the corned beef hash. Spent over 40 for breakfast. Never again

Amazing breakfast food and value! Lunch and dinner also good and so is their salad bar! Food came out quick. They have really turned this place around.

Bring a winter coat, especially when you go to the bathroom, which feels like a walk-in freezer. Our food was not hot, not even really warm, when it came and I'm pretty certain that's just from encountering the frigid ambient air on its way from the kitchen to us. The airy waffles slathered with syrup and butter were a heckin' delight.

A meal runs about $8-11 per person, pretty dang affordable. Service was good.

Don't expect any city view-billboards and an ugly building no longer afford that. Overall, come here for a step back in time (the things those ceiling tiles have seen), and for a nice classic diner meal.

Ordered a cheese steak sandwich with mayo, onions and mushrooms. I got a cheesesteak, no mayo, no onions and no mushrooms. Waitress was overly busy to give any customer care. It was like we were herded in and out.

They have lots of options on the menu to choose from. The place is quite big and almost always flooded with people. The wait for food is only a bit long when they're busy but that's expected. Food is always served fresh and the waitresses check in often to see if all is well. I ordered a large amount of food plus 4 drinks for just 2 people and only paid 24 bucks. Great place and prices.

I was a little hesitant but because our usual diner was closed we stopped in to try it. We will definitely be going back! Great food.

Whenever I’m in the area visiting family, City View is a breakfast must. The staff is incredibly friendly and the quality is consistent. Can’t wait to visit again!

Came here for breakfast, I wasn't expecting much. I was going to a nearby spot, but had a long wait.

Unfortunately, my venture was no rewarded. The fries were soggy and cold. The pancakes were thick, but just tasted ok. The toast that came was cold, stale and not crunchy. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was honestly my experience. Came with two people and the half and half she got was spoiled. No problem, she asked to change her coffee and the waitress was very prompt and gave her a fresh cup. The food was mediocre at best.

This is, however, my opinion. The diner was packed with people. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the pancake, corn beef hash and overall portion was small. I am glad it was small because I didn't even finish my meal and I do not like wasting food. It just wasn't enjoyable for me. The flavor was lacking and the food was cold when it came.

The waitress was nice despite the diner being crowded. She was prompt and we did not have to wait long to order. Coffee was also good.

Decent place. I have been there a couple times and is like an on and off switch. Sometimes is good sometimes are bad. Which I think should be expected of a diner. Other than that food was good for a diner. Recommend for a quick family spot.

It is always a wonderful experience whenever I dine there. The food is nice and fresh, servers pleasant and courteous. The ambiance is good.

Decent salad bar. Pretty good burgers. Decently priced solid food right off of the highway. Limited parking, and the location isn't the easiest to reach during evening traffic.

The City View Special for breakfast is fantastic. I highly recommend it. Service is friendly and quick to get you anything you need. They are always on top of it.

Very slow service took them over 25 minutes to serve a cheesesteak hoagie with fries and chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes and we had to encourage them to deliver it saying we did not have it in five minutes we were leaving when the order came my order was not correct I worded it cheesesteak hoagie I received a chicken cheesesteak hoagie that was taken care of in less than one minute they got a cheesesteak through lettuce and tomatoes on it and gave it back to me sandwich was very dry french fries were cold the lady at another table was listening to me and my partner‘s conversation about how bad the waitress was as she got up start cursing at us and was doing so all the way up to the cashier we were than asked to leave and we did not start any kind of commotion all and all one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had food below average service is very low I would recommend a different restaurant if you were considering Cityview do not

Have been there twice- loved it both times. Menu is large and service is prompt and courteous. Coffee is excellent (not your typical diner coffee). You have to have desert- cheesecake is phenomenal. Looking forward to going back.

Good food but the salad bar was a little underwhelming. Our wait time was a bit too long especially with younger kids but, most bang for your buck for a kids meal I've seen in ages! Huge bowl of spaghetti, plus the milk and jello!

Love this place but every since new owners took over the new people put phone off hook making it so u get busy signal and no order can be made by phone that's pretty sad all u have to say is not taking orders rite now or honestly not answer till things are better I left this review after this happening over 5x and brought to their attention. Literally watch them turn it back on in front of me!
