Newtown Bagel reviews
15Stopped in to check out the place and ordered 2 bagels with egg and bacon. I really wanted to like this place however, there was no substance. Barely anything in it honestly. Also the bagels were very small and not toasted enough. Probably won’t go back. Very disappointed.
It ain’t no New Jersey bagel, better than dunkin, just overall pretty average. I would skip on the coffee too
Just so so. I prefer another shop in Yardley, worth the drive. I am very impressed by the reply, and please let me know if the owner wants me to delete the 3-star review. I don't want any trouble or being educated about how to write a review in certain ways
First time trying. Awesome bagel sandwhich (turkey bacon, egg and Swiss on everything bagel) Bagel style are exactly my preference, soft and chewy but not heavy. Bagel was buttery without feeling greasy. With great flavor too. Strangely gave me a nostalgic feeling, so thank you! Glad I found you guys. Looking forward to ordering again.
Just had the 3 egg omelette over easy with English muffin - extraordinary! Ready in less than 15 mins ordering from their website. The eggs were fluffy and tall, not at all greasy or burnt. The muffin was larger than Thomas' and delicious. This was everything I was hoping for! Happy Memorial Day!
I walked into the restaurant around 10: 30 AM and ordered my everything bagel and received it cold and hardly toasted. I wiped the gallon of butter on it to show how it is hardly toasted. Your response is completely false. I ordered my bagel inside and then received it not toasted and covered in a not normal amount of butter. This is the second time this has happened. And either your workers are lying to you or you made up the online order. 3 years later still crazy the dude really responded and straight up lied
Hands down best breakfast and lunch! Great atmosphere and super helpful workers! Definitely a must try!
Very busy on Saturday morning. A lot of variety. Most people getting hot breakfast sandwiches to eat in or to go.
03/25/2023: Reaffirming that there is no possible way to get a correct order. Still giving two stars because the bagels are decent. They forgot my tomato AGAIN this morning. I swear it’s like a running joke with this place. Pics from this mornings order.
What kills me is they get our order wrong every single time without fail no matter how simple and straight forward. Last weekend my wife ordered a gluten free bagel with veggie cream cheese. It was plain cream cheese. This morning I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese with tomato. They forgot the tomato. These are not isolated incidents, but rather meant to show the frequency with which errors occur.
EDIT: bumping from 2 to 3 stars because Scott (the owner?) responded almost immediately, showing he cares about his product. They do have a lot of young people working there, so I’ll give him that, but the training issues should be dealt with. It stinks to order your breakfast, drive home & open the bag to find you didn’t get what you ordered, again.
2nd Edit: 09/02/2021. Back to 2 stars and staying there. Benefit of the doubt, so I swung by again this morning after dropping my car at an adjacent repair shop for inspection. Ordered a Denver on everything and a rainbow toasted with plain cream cheese for my 10 year old daughter. Walked home, sat down to eat and about half way through her first piece she starts gagging. Says that her bagel tastes "spicy like pepper". I try a bite, tastes fine. Further inspection and I find a caper stuck to the cream cheese on the bottom. My guess is there was another caper that she bit in to, or perhaps caper residue on the knife used on her bagel? Either way, another order gone awry.
A beautiful smiling face was there to take the order which was made fresh. Since I’m a little weird I wanted the omelette but as a sandwich the smiling face said absolutely how about the Asiago bagel goes great with that California. She was not lying.
Under 15 minutes this beautiful mouth watering creation was mine, crafted and designed to be healthier than my original fast pick me up choice lol
It hit the spot, fueling the mind and body this beautiful morning and that smile with personality taking the order was the sunshine needed to greet the rest of today the same way
A little mineral water to wash it down was found in it’s ready to grab drink fridges
A sparkling place to coke back to that’s for sure
Great bagels great service! Amazing hot coffee selection and even better cream cheese selection. My families favorite!
Small bagel shop in Newtown. Bagels are a decent size. They're soft on the inside and chewy on the out. Their everything bagel is the best ever!
I really like this place. They have great bagels. Their breakfast sandwiches are great and the cream cheese is so good! Also highly recommend the Nova Lox!
Someone buy them a toaster, cuz it doesn't seem like they own one. Every order is messed up with this place. Someone open a bagel shop. They need some competition.
Newtown bagel, this isn't a one time occurrence. We order at least four sandwiches a time, maybe twice a month. Nothing is ever toasted, order online comes almost not toasted at all, when I'm asking for the darkest, knowing I'll get nothing.
And I wouldn't ask for anything to be fixed, because it takes long enough to get service in the first place, and I'm already home.
You decide. I telephone ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and a plain bagel with cream cheese and nova. At check out I was handed a bag with my name on it. When I got home and opened it there were two bagels with bacon egg and cheese. I took the bagels back and they said there was a mix up. Okay anyone can make a mistake. The problem is that they gave the bag I took home and opened to the person who ordered those sandwiches without remaking them.
