Brought our son to NEXTStep after he attended a birthday party there. He is a bit shy, but Mr. Chuck and Ms. Julissa have been so great in getting him to open up even more. He loves his regular class and even though he doesn't always participate in the leadership class, he enjoys attending and learning from the "older kids". I recommend NEXTStep for all age groups and skill levels.

Zachary is my 16 year old autistic son. This place has been absolutely wonderful in helping Zac have a great experience taking taekwondo, something that is not easy for him because of his extreme issues with noise, people and ruckus. NextStep Martial Arts has made such an impact on the lives of my children. Both of my boys suffer from ADHD. The life skills program has helped them learn the skills they need to focus in class as well as school and home.

A couple of years ago my older son's doctor thought he may be autistic. He would hide behind me and wouldn't talk to people unless I encouraged him to, it was still a hard task for him. The doctor and I had decided to have him tested by a specialist. The results were inconclusive for the autism but she said he suffered from severe anxiety.

We have been with NextStep for 1 1/2 years. My child has completely removed his shell and become an amazing child. He recently participated in a competition in front of hundreds of people. He performed with such a "Yes, I can! " attitude you would never know he has anxiety. The leadership program at Next Step has given both of my boys the most amazing confidence and belief in themselves.

When I showed his doctor the video of his gold medal performance she apologized to me. She said she is so sorry she ever thought he was Autistic. He obviously only needed the skills from NextStep to overcome his fears.

My sons love going here. Very friendly owner and staff. Schedule allows us to do other activities during the week which is important to us. Always a good attitude in class and they have fun but remain focused.

CONFIDENCE. SELF ESTEEM. TEAMWORK. Just a couple of things the students are taught at NEXTSTEP MARTIAL ARTS. The teachers are informative, patient and encouraging in a fun way. Plenty of smiles at the classes. ENCOURAGEMENT, POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT from staff and fellow students alike.

Positive interaction between students & staff also between more experienced students and less experienced students.

I can honestly say that Next Step is one of the best places to go for Martial Arts. It's great for beginners, and has awesome programs, like their sparring program, for more advanced students. Some of my favorite things about Next Step is the instructors and the Sparring classes, where I get to spar against my friends.

Next Step is amazing! It started out as a place to go for a birthday party, turned into not only a journey (and a black belt) for my son, but also for me! Being able to learn new skills for my mind and body, but being able to share in this experience with my son, is the best opportunity anyone can provide. Thank You NEXT STEP!

Our youngest son is currently a student at NEXTStep, our oldest daughter attended for 6 years. When we wanted to get our son involved in martial arts to help him with impulse control and patience we knew there was no other options for us. Jay, Chuck and Julissa are amazing instructors that are working with the children on more than perfect kicks. NEXTStep is there for your whole child, teaching them the value of hard work, respect, integrity and a "Yes I Can! " attitude. Forever thankful for having a wonderful place to shape our communities youth.
