Nom Wah Philadelphia reviews
18Amazing food and service. Proper dim sum and fast service as it should be. Reasonably priced as well.
The Philadelphia outpost of the famous New York City Chinatown dim sum parlor, dim sum all day, typical Chinese fare, Wonton soup, fried rice and noodle dishes.
Great place to have dim sum if you are in Philly. Quality and taste of food was great. Service was good too. Definitely check them out if you are looking for good dim sum.
Stopped in for happy hour and loved it! Their food, tea, & drinks selection was as beautifully layered as their decor! Plus, they had chicken feet on the menu, pleasantly surprised!
The female waitress is EXTREMELY racists. Gave poor service and totally ignored me while attending to others in the restaurant.
Loved the turnip cake and the shrimp shumais. Nice waitress, nice service, and awesome food.
Location is a bit strange but like NYC, the food was good and filled a legit Asian void that was missing amongst cheese steaks and other eats that Philly is famous for.
Bummrr. Closed early because "our chef went home already. "
2 couples there eating. Arrived at 805pm. Posted closing is at 830pm Mondays.
I'm from out of town on foot.

Pretty authentic Chinese dim sum. Ordered 5 dim sum dishes and they were good. The exception was the lotus leaf sticky rice. It was lacking flavor and the filling was a bit small.
Nom Wah in Philadelphia far exceeds the offering from the original NYC location. Philadelphia's branch offers better tasting food, better service, and better ambiance (since the location is newer). If you had any reservations of Nom Wah because of a negative impression in NYC, please consider giving Nom Wah Philly a chance. It's very different.
So good, I want to come back tomorrow!
Well, one year later, still great dim sum!
My favorite dim sum in the whole city. Everything is delicious but my favorites are the Chinese broccoli and the turnip cakes (both the whole cakes and the version where they are cut up with sauce).
Food was NOT good. The young lady server with the short hair was extremely rude and unprofessional. (3/22/23 at around 3pm) She was aggressive with putting plates down. Then I heard her badmouthing about customers to one of the chef. She said she did not want to thank the customers for their business because she did not get tipped well. Her service was bad and expected to get tipped well lol.
Fantastic food with lots of vegetarian options. My very picky 10-year old was won over after the first bite. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Great experience all around!
Really excellent dim sum! The food is all made to order and tastes really fresh. The giant house special pork bun and OG egg roll were especially good but really I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. I visited with a colleague and wished I brought more people so I could have tried more dishes.
Great food and service overall! Stuffed eggplant and salt pepper shrimp were fabulous and cooked just right. Highly recommend.
Phenomenal food for a great price with a good atmosphere! I've been here twice, once during a lunch rush and once for dinner. Service was excellent both times, and I was even offered to stay and wait when it started downpouring.
This place absolutely deserves a visit!
