North Shore Tavern reviews
18First time here. I got the seafood mix on a stone. It was mediocre. No seasoning on the salmon or scallops. Also if they aren't going to season, they definitely need salt and pepper on the table. Filet my husband got was good.
It was my first time trying to steak on Stone and I loved it I will definitely be back! The chimichurri sauce was delicious!
My dining guest and I had such high hopes for this spot. We were seated promptly but it took a while to place a drink order. My melon cocktail was supposed to have vodka, but most certainly did not. We then placed our order of calamari and two stone steak dishes. The calamari breading was not burnt but the calamari was rubbery and dehydrated. The steaks came out promptly and they were great BUT nothing had salt! The steak was unseasoned and the chimichurri was mostly oil (and no salt). Towards the end of the meal I was able to flag down a waitress and get some salt. It made a world of difference. For the cost of the meal I was absolutely let down. This was also a night where no events or games were going on, and it was not busy by any means. I honestly could not recommend this to my friends.
We had our son’s graduation dinner at North Shore Tavern. It was AMAZING! They gave us a private room in the back. The service was Exceptional! The food was Unbelievable! 18 people and every single one of us had the perfect meal! My family can’t stop talking about it!
Thank you North Shore Tavern!
If you haven’t been there, definitely check it out!
While the steak was really good, and I loved the stone concept, I became VIOLENTLY ill after eating here last night. 10+ hours straight of throwing up. I honestly was debating on going to the ER, and getting checked to see if the waitress put anything in my drink. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Stay clear unless you want to spray out both ends all night.
Great location and really nice with all of the doors open. Felt like it was an extension of PNC Park.
Had the striploin on a stone. It was terrible - probably the toughest, chewiest steak I've had in the past few years. I cooked it to a rare/medium rare so it wasn't overcooked by any means. It was just a terrible steak. I had a steak at Denny's a few months back because it was the only place open after midnight; it was much better than this. Also, I'm not a fan of cooking steak on a hot stone. Yeah, it's hot but not hot enough to produce a good char. Service was fine, though.
We are old, like in over, whatever, & never had a steak on a stone before; so we decided to try it. "Fantastic" is our opinion. The main courses were great & the big chocolate chip cookie & cheese cake were the perfect finishing touches. Then to add a comment on the staff, they were super-califragilistic-expe-alidocious too (i.e. Great)!
YOU WILL BE COOKING your own steak YOURSELF! If you're a good cook, you will have a great steak. But if you can't cook, like me. Just go get a cheap steak ANYWHERE, and it will taste much better. Even a $9.99 Waffle House steak will be better than this. My "Angus Gold Aged" tasted like cardboard and was a little harder to chew than "the jawbreaker" candy.
Stopped in for lunch and was immediately met by the bar staff to place my order. Took a little longer than usual to get my food mostly because of the amount of people there for the 12: 35 Pirates game. Was also there Saturday night after a game and was very well taken care of by Madison, our bartender. Kudos to NST for making my past two visits enjoyable.
Outstanding! We have travelled the last 2.5 weeks from Florida to Niagara Falls and have almost given up the hope on eating good food. Thank you so much for making our last dinner so tasty!
The best Filet mignon, scallops and potato salad we have ever had! Food is served on hot stone, you cook to your preference. We could slice the scallops with a butter knife. Absolutely delicious!
Food was spectacular! Perfect location right next to PNC Park. Great beer selection as well. Definitely going back!
What a place! Great food and great atmosphere. You've got to try steak or salmon on a hot stone. I think we had our food brought to our table almost within 5 minutes of ordering it. I was amazed how fast it was. And how delicious the food is. I'll be going here again, and bringing more people with me next time.
I am a loyal customer. I buy lunch there often. When I got home with my food, there were no lids on the thousand island and it was all over the inside of the containers. I asked for extra sauce and didn’t get that either. I have a picture of it. Very disappointed!
Pork BBQ sandwich was great! Service is amazing and we went there after Friday night Pirates game. Would go back
Headed to Northshore Tavern for the first time for an early Mother’s Day lunch with the family. Food was delicious! The four of us all had something different along with the nacho app. Our waitress Destiny was attentive and helpful. We even got to meet the chef! Our meal was delivered as requested and explained to us as to how to cook on the stone to our liking. We’ll be back
