10 I was impressed by the interior decor and atmosphere of Northern Lights Cafe, but the food choice and quality left me disappointed.
None of the ingredients appear to be locally sourced and taste rather bland, as if they were sourced from a generic grocery store. Sandwiches and salads for sale are small portion sizes and priced six dollars and up, which seems too expensive for the quality provided.
Overall a nice cafe to visit if you are more interested in the atmosphere than the quality of food.
*It should be noted that the coffee was above average in flavor, although- again- overpriced.
Great staff, the coffee selections for the irregular small coffee shop patron can be a little hard to discern, however the quality of beverages at this shop should be recognized! Love this place and will visit every time I am in Scranton.
Nice quiet atmosphere. Great coffee. Good service. There are board games and couches upstairs. It's a great place to study or spend a rainy afternoon.

I had a espresso it was the worst I ever had. I understand not every teen employee can make a coffee, but when he showed and told her manager she looked over at me and did not try to make amends just ignore us, my group was there for 10 minutes after. It gave her plenty of time to come over.
The best coffee. I like drinking brewed coffee black to savor the flavor. The Damiani blend they brew is my favorite. The interior is interesting but the service was average.
The only place in Scranton that actually makes a good spicy chai, and the new interior is the sort of place you want to take a new profile picture in.
Nice 2 story, cozy coffee shop. I got the cafe au lait.was good, had the usual expected taste. I'll be back. Staff was quick and friendly.
I grew up in this place, so personally a huge fan. Can get really packed, and prices aren't like DD haha but the quality is way better.
