Northumberland County Assistance Office, Sunbury PA

They closed my case gave a letter saying it was closed buy 12/19 And actually never closed it, Now I am being investigated for FRAUD in another state, due to their inept lack of work. Then I call them several times and they hang up! Warning if you are disabled STAY Away! They are quick to investigate but slow to actually do their job. A Bunch of DUMMIES. I could go on and on, Did they actually get a degree in social work? HM YOUR NOT FINE!: BK.

They definitely screen phone calls. There is no way I call 23 times in a row to two different numbers and no one answers. Its regular business hours. Get your stuff together.

No one ever answers the phone. I even have a direct line to my case worker and he never answers the phone. There isn't even a way to leave him a voice message! This is obviously an issue everyone is having, look at all these reviews. It's time to hire more people so that the phones can get picked up!

I dont understand how can someone call over 40 times during the opening hours and still dont get to talk to anyone at the front desk.the social workers are very helpful once you finally get in touch with them but it sucks that no ones ever answer the calls. Funny thing is that when you are in the lobby waiting for your number to be call the clerk is sitting there. We need people who can actually answer the phone when anyone calls.

Humiliating is the best quality of the lady in front desk! She is horrible and she is not professional at all, I hate going to this office just because of her! I wish I could still work and not need their help just because of this lady!

Unless you call as soon as they open, you'll have a difficult time getting through. They also don't have any call list so they could return your call due to them being busy.

Always very informative and detailed, as well as felixible. Reasonably great desk clerks and caseworkers. Envy their patience.

I sat in there for 45 minutes just to ask them a question! I walked in and the lady said "take a number and sit down" I said "I just have a question" then again she told me to take a number and sit down. With me and one other person in there I still sat there for 45 minutes. Its ridiculous. The lady just sat on her computer. Then when I finally got to talk to the lady she was rude and had nothing but attitude. Very unprofessional and need new people in there.

Was helping my daughter. They lost several of her documents and when I called they lady at the desk was nasty to me.

This assistasnce office is trash. I just moved to Northumberland county in February and I applied for snap benefits two weeks before moving in. It’s been two months for them to tell me they messed up my paystubs with somebody else’s pay stubs. So Mrs. Muller or Mrs.miller, (the rude ass lady) whatever it is said she is putting in a reconsideration for what was their mistake. It’s been two weeks now and haven’t heard anything, so I try calling and what do you know! Oh wow every employee is apparently busy. This office is very unreliable and unprofessional. They do not know how to answer phones and they're extremely rude. Get what ever crawled up your crabbybutt and get over yourselves. It's extremely terrible there.

Does anyone work at this office? I have been calling a Mrs Miller or Muller not sure about the name but she never answers the phone I have been trying for 3 days now, and the 988 5900 is a joke you can't even get someone to answer I can see why the people here are so upset this is a waste of money paying these dead beat employee's that don't want to do
there job.

Ive been calling since 8am today Jan. 16 2018 and still no answers its winter I need help with heat need to make sure my pay stubs got to them and NOONE IS ANSWERING
