Oakmont Travel Plaza reviews
7The bathroom needs attention as it was just nasty, most people stop here for gas and toilet facilities and this one failed on 1 out of 2 as they can clean the restroom
On the profile is no longer in service and when you try to call individual like stores inside the store, no one picks up
This location never has truck parking available. Drivers will pig pile up and park anywhere. The lot is not enforced enough to control things by state police. Now as far as the plaza goes it is expensive. The Burger King is way over priced for old stale food prepared from people who don't care about what they serve you.
The 7-11 part serves a purpose for drinks, snacks, coffee etc. It's over priced as well but it is Pennsylvania and the turnpike lol.
The rest rooms were fairly clean. The trash cans were not emptied and had to go to several dispensers to finally get soap. A little scary seeing a employee from BK use the empty dispenser and "wash" hands to return to work. That's why I don't eat at places like that lol.
Safe travels to you
I stopped here for an emergency potty run for the kiddos and it did that job well. It had a family bathroom that was clean. It had lots of free pamphlets for my eldest to snag to show her classmates about where she went and to read in the car.
My only downside was the lack of open eateries at night. People travel after 8pm, y'all.
Pennsylvania's rest stops are pretty bad, especially if you've just been on the Ohio turnpike. But this one is better than most with useful services and clean restrooms.
Very limited parking, just like everywhere else in the eastern time zone.
Everything is overpriced (Burger King, Starbucks) slow and not enough parking for autos. They know they got you because you are on the turn pike!
