Best fried fish spot. Best Mac and cheese, potato salad, yams, green beans, and collard greens I ever had. This place is a gem for Pennsylvania.

If I could give this establishment more than 5 stars- I would! We were in town visiting a relative at a nearby hospital and looking to get something to eat. We weren’t sure where to go, but we knew we wanted fish. We found this place after a quick Google search and decided to try it out. WHAT A GEM! As soon we walked up- the smell hit us! My goodness- if you know you know! The customer service & hospitality was AMAZING! This is how you run a business ppl! The owner was friendly and accommodating. He could tell we were from out of town and took the time to show us the menu items as well as letting us sample majority of the sides! I tried some Mac, green beans, collards & cabbage and potato salad! The flavors satisfied my taste buds! We ordered the haddock and whiting. Along with that we got the fresh cut fries, hush puppies, potato salad and cornbread. Everything was fresh and made to order! DELICIOUS! The desserts were homemade. Sweet potato pie, red velvet, hummingbird, coconut cakes and a variety of pound cakes! As our orders were prepared, the owner and hostess engaged in conversation and made us feel so welcome. This is the type of service we long and live for! I wish they were in Jersey! OD’s has a customer for life! If I am in the area I will return. If you are ever in the Harrisburg area- don’t even think about going anywhere else…. THIS IS IT! You will not be disappointed.

Best fried fish in Harrisburg PA hands down. Seasoned to perfection. I ordered the Porgy, Mac n Cheese, Potato Salad, Cabbage/Greens mix, cornbread & homemade lemon pound cake. All of the food was amazing. Large portions and that cake reminded me of my Grandmother’s Lemon cake. Mr. Otis takes pride in his food and it shows. Thank you for getting it right! I’m so happy I found this place. P. S. If it’s your first time visiting the store, Mr. Otis lets you sample all of the sides.

OD is a most pleasant gentleman offering samples to 1st timers, sharing many delicious sides, then showing all the scrumptious homemade desserts. The hummingbird cake lives up to the reputation of these reviews and is absolutely amazing. Red velvet, coconut & chocolate iced yellow cake were thickly iced and nicely portioned alternates. I had the $12 portion of fresh cut catfish nuggets and was not disappointed. OD's also makes fresh cut fries and fried okra. I'm sure I'll stop in again when in that part of town. Just map it.

I ordered so many things (and not just all in one visit! I came back the very next day because the food was so good. OD is very passionate about what he does, and I was so very happy to support those that take pride in what they do. Supporting one another goes along way, and because of that, I won’t hesitate to come back to support OD’s Fishhouse. On the first visit I got the crab cake (being a MD resident), this was a good crab cake for $15 dollars. Lots of blue crab meat. I didn’t see any filler, honestly and that’s what I’m used to). The fried salmon was really good (next time we’re going to try and get it to a medium temperature), the catfish nuggets (I tried them on the second day) Mac and cheese, potato salad, sweet potato pie (got these sides and dessert on BOTH days. They were that damn good), fried okra. Ask him about the lovely lemonades they sell also! Whenever anyone gives you a sample and watches you eat it, you KNOW they KNOW! Do yourself a favor and visit this establishment and support! Definitely coming back for the seafood salad and yams, because they were out.

Best fried fish I've ever had! Love the catfish, truly bursting wish flavor. Didn't need any condiments. Potato salad was fine, a little underseasoned for me.

Just left here, freaking loved it! Didn't even know there was good fish around! Def will be back!

My husband said the fish was great! The atmosphere, well you can sit down and eat there if you want. There is a couple tables and chairs. But to me, it's more of a take out restaurant.

Awesome litte fish spot. Found it while I was working in the area. They gave me a free sample while I was on the clock and showed me love so I had no choice but to come back for dinner. Some of the best fried fish I have ever had. I had the haddock with some Cole slaw and a large side of candies yams. Go ahead and get some sea food in your system you will not regret your decision!

Best soul food in the city! Fresh made right in front of you and the staff is the kindest. If you never had soul food and want to try they will help you out and let you sample some of the goods.

The owner was very accommodating he was closing and went above and beyond to take care of us. I will make sure this stop will always be a stop for me when traveling through Pa. The food is excellent and the prices are great.
