To take a step back in time, see the homes, stores, schools and shops that where constructed in the 1800's activities like making a candle. Grinding apples to make apple cider, playing games played by the children help the children keep interested in exploring the history of rope beds, fireplaces, spindles and loomes. The cost is minimal and worth seeing. If you love history, enjoy seeing things made without modern machinery or you just want to be glad you didn't live back then. This is a place you should see.

We have been to many events here. Interesting mix of historical buildings and interactive living history. Stay connected for schedule of events.
A covered bridge greets you upon entering the village. I recommend coming here…

Terrible experience with staff. Website says open, walked straight through doors. Staff saw me, we were there for over an hour, walking the grounds, then staff came and told us to “leave because of liability issues” and the “no trespassing signs”. There were absolutely no “trespassing signs” when we came though. Will not come back.

Absolutely beautiful place and very calming. The staff have a lot of pride in what they do and it shows. It cost $10 for adults which is well worth it. @winsleez

Meh. Some of the buildings were interesting. I think more staff could have helped it flow better.

Very pleasant and wonderful time. Fun for all ages. They had scavenger hunt, hay rides, and activities for little ones. Like building your own scar crow! Would definitely come back for other events.

Lots of great buildings to explore. Come see them before they deteriorate too much! I love the crafts they make and sell. The potter and blacksmith were knowledgable and seemed to loved teaching us!

I was very disappointed. The internet says they were open today from 11: 00 to 5: 00. Their Facebook's page said they were open today. I drove an hour and a half and half a tank of gas later to pull in for there to be a huge sign there that said" closed.turn around here no trespassing" I went back and double checked the internet and their Facebook page. The top of their page says open. If you scroll down through and start reading their posts it does say they're closed for the season but being that the top said they were open there was no reason for me to scroll down and read their post prior to going. I get one day off a week out of a 60 to 70 hour week and chose to spend it with my daughter there today. What a let down

Pleasant setting to take in colonial history. The cabins and wood log buildings are in great need of restoration and preservation for present and future generations to take in.

Old Bedford village has always been a favorite place for us, as kids, and adults! The murder mystery nights are fun, entertaining, and just a great time! It really is a walk back in time everytime you go!

Stopped while camping nearby. Very fun and educational, especially because we were there during a "living history" weekend. Staff was very friendly and in their element.

Wonderful family venue. An enjoyable walk through 1700-1800s homes that provides a historical education for children & adults alike.

OBV will be coming alive for the Civil War Reenactment Jun 11-22 2022. Walk through the North & South encampment to talk with the soldiers. Shop at some of the sutlers. Then enjoy the battle between the two sides.

Plan on a full action packed day.

My family & I went here for the Christmas time in the Village. It's educational and my kids enjoyed it. I recommend coming here in the day time so you can see the cabins and get the full experience. We came at dark so there was lanterns lit. It was hard to see without using my phone flash light. One cabin we entered, the ladies had their cake table set up close to the door and they wouldn't allow many people inside. They asked that we step outside. No other cabin was like that. We didn't atempt to go in that cabin again. It was very windy and cold. We weren't standing outside to wait. I plan to return in the Spring or Summer for a reinactment.
I don't believe visiting this place, for the Christmas theme, is something I'll do again.

Awesome experience, staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure you allow enough time to do it all before it closes about 1.5 hours. The history lesson there is very interesting.

Great family place to visit, they can show you the hardships and lifestyles of the mid 1940"s and have many amazing events on premisses.

It was a neat little old fashioned village you can walk through and explore. Lots of history behind it all. The entire village is a reproduction built in 1976 but consists of many relocated log buildings from the late 1700s early 1800s. They had several actors stationed in buildings but it would have been better if there were more. Still worth the admission price either way!
