Old Order Amish Tours, Ronks PA

This was the second time doing this fabulous tour and I recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for the Amish experience! The first time was with my husband several years ago, and last week I brought my 80-year-old mother, who was looking to have a grand time in Lancaster. We both loved every minute of the friendly, fascinating, informative tour with the kind, considerate, and lovely Kathy. We greatly appreciated the extra mile (s) that Kathy went for us, going above and beyond all expectations!

Kathy’s tour is exactly what we wanted! Her Amish tour is personalized and unlike the other tours in the area. She was so knowledgeable and truly cares about the Amish community. If you want an incredible experience choose this tour!

Tim (our tour guide) was super funny, knowledgeable and friendly ~ you can tell he loves what he does! We enjoyed our chats with the Amish people working around the farm (especially Katelyn and Isaac). So worth visiting and learning about how the, kind and humble, Amish live!

Awesome tour! My wife and I were able to go on this tour and found the experience incredible. Kathy has incredible knowledge of the Amish community and knows all the great routes to drive! My wife has been to Lancaster many times in the past, and she was truly impressed by what she learned and experienced on this tour. I would highly recommend doing this tour if you’re in Lancaster.

Very fun, informative, and personal! We followed behind Kathy in our car while she talked to us through a walkie talkie as we drove & made stops throughout the town. We also stopped at true Amish homes. We got to meet some of the family members and see inside part of their homes and businesses. There was no pressure to buy- but there were homemade jams, pies, flowers, beautiful quilts, etc.available. This felt like a truly authentic and respectful way to learn about the Amish - not a “tourist trap. ” I really liked that it was just our family alone for the tour. Price was very reasonable for the personal experience.

The Amish country has gorgeous lands and homes, the Amish people are kind, gentle and sweet. I didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t see the farms in action or how they work in their lands. I wanted more hands on tour. Katie seems very knowledgeable however I felt that she pushed us to buy from them, after telling her we were traveling without luggage. Also, I didn’t like the fact that we drove behind her. But overall beautiful sceneries and lovely time.
