Old Trail Tavern + Steak, Liverpool PA

Great place. Food was tasty and plentiful. The beef apparently is homegrown. The fried fish was so fresh and fried crispy. As are the onion rings. Well stocked bar with some special cocktails too.

Ordered the prime rib mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. Husband had prime rib, brussel sprouts and fries. We had a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Everything was amazing. The prime Rib was delicious and cooked perfectly. Worth the drive and plan on going back again

I've been here multiple times and every single time the food and drinks are excellent. It never disappoints. It's my boyfriend and I's go to place!

One hell of a great steak! We were really impressed. The steak was cooked perfectly as were the fries. Well worth stopping at for a tasty meal.

Drove and hour to meet friends there. Wonderful experience. The service by Miss Justice, the atmosphere AND THE FOOD was beyond great. Had the tomahawk ribeye that was prepared to perfection!
Also dig that they source locally!

Love this little Gem with all it's history and what it's become today. I had the sirloin, veggie and ceasar salad. My husband had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes
and salad. All the way around Fantastic! Server, food, price, atmosphere. Definitely will return again many times in the future.

My wife and I went here for the first time, and probably the last. We sat at the bar for drinks and dinner, the bartender was amazing, friendly, and made an amazing Old Fashion. The atmosphere was chill but pretty cramped. All the servers just stood directly next to me at the bar which was super strange, granted the place is pretty small. Now the food, what a disaster! We got the brussel sprouts and 6 wings for a appetizer. Brussel sprouts tasted like they came out of a bag you buy in a grocery store, wings where gummy even though we requested extra crispy. The chilli was extremely bland, and tasted like spaghetti sauce with beans. My steak was overcooked, wife's was undercooked, Mac and Cheese which had good flavor, was ice cold. We drove a hour away to try this place that we heard good things about. For a Friday night, and not being very busy at the time we were there, I was really hoping for better. Very disappointing.

**Edit** The owner and I have been in contact due to my review, and he has gone above and beyond to insure us that he has addressed the issues we experienced, and has been nothing but professional and helpful. We will be returning to give this place again for another try based solely off of the owners response to us. We felt heard and welcomed back. Thank you Devon for the quick response.

I stopped on for a drink. My first time there. At has a friendly atmosphere. I stopped in again yesterday. They didnt have what I wanted. Stephanie told me why. She is Sooo adorable. I wanted to hug her. Maybe next time. I would definitely recommend this bar.

I miss Ada's.didn't match up to all the hype. The prime rib was ok. Had better. The fact they had no house salad pissed me off. The Mac n chs was dry as a popcorn fart. The beer selection is very small. Unless you like yuppy beers. Won't be rushing back there any time soon. Considering we drove an hour north for what was supposed to be a great meal. NOT.

First time there for us. All I have to say is, wow. It's a small place to enjoy a meal, so make sure you call ahead. The food was awesome, the service was fantastic, and the drinks were out of this world. To me, it gets more than 5 stars. I'm definitely going back again.

The steak was excellent! But the potatoes were hard and cold. The mixed drink was on point! Also a little overpriced for the meal. But I will be back to try another dish!

The Old Trail Tavern has fantastic food. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed.

Our campground had the Old Tavern listed on their website, and after a travel day we came in on a Thursday. We shared appetizers fried pickles, jalapeños poppers and sautéed mushrooms. The special was fish and chips, nearly the whole table got this delicious dish. The cocktails were fun and used local spirits.

Because we enjoyed both the atmosphere and food we headed in for another meal. This time 11 of us waited at the bar a short bit. We got our table and heard the specials, and what dishes were already sold out! I got the petite fillet with shrimp, it didn’t not disappoint.

Really this place is a gem featuring locally sourced foods, spirits and beers.
