Olympic Diner reviews
16Don’t go here if you’re not white and want to be treated as an equal. Blatantly ignored upon the walk-in.
I don't know police usually lot a lot nicer from what I remember. Food wasn't that good. I got a tuna melt and coffee. And it was almost 11$
I’d give 0 stars if I could. Completely disregarded and unacknowledged by staff, don’t go if you’re a person of color. They’re awful. We had to walk out.
It's an old diner so the atmosphere is cold. The cook & service was good. I would go back & recommend it
Good old original diner. The diner is clean and the meals are exactly what you order. It's my go-to
My husband and I visit any chance we can get! It's our go-to breakfast place. Atmosphere is friendly, and everyone seems to know everyone. Love it!
Walked out. Rude staff ignored us waiting for 20 minutes they saw us and looked away. Lady in the front gave us dirty looks and said absolutely nothing to us. Don’t go if you’re not white.
Reminds me very much like a jersey diner. The chef knows the difference between over ready and me. The best in my book.
Small traditional Greek diner with good prices and service. Old fashioned juke boxes at the tables.
Food was extremely good and I highly recommend for a delicious breakfast I got some pancakes and a water. 5 stars
In the area for business, I have eaten here twice and enjoyed the food both times, breakfast is great
Small diner where people are friendly.
Ill say it! Bob (head chef) makes one of the best breakfast in Delaware County.
The service is always great here, it's clear that many locals frequent this place every day and are on a first name basis with the staff. It has a friendly, small town feel.
I have pancakes, eggs, sausage and home fries every time I go and it's always cooked to order quickly and DELICIOUS. I love that the pancakes just melt in your mouth!
Great portion size and extremely affordable. I'll be back again and again!
Good Afternoon Google Family! I visited The Olympic Diner for the first time. I have passed by this restaurant a gazzillion times and I decided to stop in today on Monday, the 4th of July. I did not expect it to be open, since many places are closed on the holiday. They open up at 6: 30 AM and they close round about 3 PM. They are open 7 days a week, with the same hours. They were closed for a time, during the height of the pandemic, since there was a mandate about eating places being closed until the Corona Virus calmed down a little bit. During that time, they conducted take out services. I went in the door and a wonderful lady greeted me. I asked if they were open and the lady said yes and I proceeded to ask for a menu. I ordered a waffle with turkey sausage links to go and then I changed my mind and I decided to eat at the table. I eat fast and so I was out of there in a jiffy. I was enchanted by the ambiance and decor of the place. They had a pay phone near the restrooms. I had not seen one of them in years and Elaine the owner, said it still worked. Amazing! They also had the vending machines where you get the prizes (stuffed animals or candy) if you manipulated the machine correctly. I was never good at those machines, LOL. I always tried them and no luck! Also they had jukeboxes (the old timey ones) at the individual booths and believe it or not, I asked Elaine if they worked and she said yes. They played CD's. Amazing again! I enjoyed the company of Elaine, the owner and Susie, an employee, who had worked there over twenty years. Susie was gracious enough to take a picture of Elaine and I. I enjoyed my time and experience there on the 4th of July. Yes, my waffle and turkey sausage links were delicious and the cost was about $10.44 and I had a hot chocolate as a beverage. I will definitely return. Have a good day, Google Family! Until the next review!
First time. Pretty good. Long wait, but understandable with one cook and lots of customers. Will go again sometime.
We love this Diner. Everything Bob makes on that grill is AWESOME!
: Update:
Covid really did a number on this local diner. Unfortunately the quality that we've come to love has declined. Now the diner is has no more than 3 people there at any one time. At my last visit the employees were LOUDLY discussing politics &how things would be different if Trump were still president. I used to love this little spot.now I'll never return. Bob.those chatty ladies are ruining the ambiance of your restaurant. Your patrons come for the food not the politics.
