Original Golden Eagle Diner reviews
16My son took me and my wife here for my birthday, and the food was very good. I'll definitely be back for more great food.
Stopped here after a long drive across state from Pittsburgh for a business trip. Food was fantastic! Good old fashioned cooking, with a tremendous menu! They also have a HUGE bakery! Very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and welcome feeling. I looked this place up before I made the trip, and it looked good. I am glad I checked it out! Definitely a new favorite!
Everything was good I mean I wouldn't say anything was five star but four stars that right the eggs are cooked good I had this like cinnamon bun French toast which was too overwhelming it was enough for four people LOL but I'd recommend it we're going to go back again it was very crowded but it was Father's Day. Just went there again for Father's Day and the food and service was great. Our waiter Caesar was just great!
Rene was Our Server and was Wonderful! Both of Our Meals came with soup and salad. My Husband had Chicken Parm.and He had enough food for 3 days! Dessert was also included. Their Cream of Crab is Very Good but is only served on Friday.
The food is disgusting I got a chicken croquette and it tasted like McDonalds chicken and the mash potatoes where very dry the gravy was not that bad but it just was not good
This local diner exceeded all expectations with its outstanding efficiency. From prompt service to quick delivery of delicious meals, every visit has been a delight. The staff's efficiency adds a special touch to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for a fantastic dining experience!
As far as diners go, this one is right at the top of the list. The moment you walk through the door, you are heated with a massive desert display, and everything on it looks incredible. We were seated quickly, there is A LOT of room in this place, and it was filled with patrons of all ages.
We were there for brunch, so we selected from the breakfast menu. I got the California Scramble, and my wife opted for 2 eggs, sausage and French toast. She also offered a mimosa, while I stuck with coffee.
The coffee was ok. I'm a bit of a coffee snob though, and I'm sure the masses will find the coffee just fine, bit to me, it tastes like it was made with town water. It seems this is practice in most diners. If there was one bit of advice I could give, it would be to elevate the coffee game.
Everything else was amazing!
My California Scramble has a major comfort food vibe. Hollandaise sauce was terrific and the potatoes were crisp and tasty.
My wife's breakfast was huge! And the eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium, and the sausage was delicious and the French toast.oh my. Three slices of fluffy goodness. I got to try it, and all I can say is, I can't remember ever having better French toast.
The servers were quick and friendly, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect in a diner.
The menu options seem endless. I'll definitely be back again. My wife and I agree, this is THE spot for a diner style breakfast that we have found within 30 minutes of Ewing, AND the prices were actually easy on the wallet.
Don't hesitate stopping at Golden Eagle.
The food on the menu is not great, but we bought about $50 of their "freshly baked" goods, and they were stale and tasted so old.
Open late very clean very courteous staff
On top of things. Very good food served ina timely manner. Also Excellent deserts to choose from bought an oreo cake home for myself son's 23rd birthday delicious and cookies yummy
Well, I never got to eat here. My husband and I came in for breakfast and were promptly seated. We then sat for 10-15 mins, completely ignored. Not even a drink order. My husband made eye contact and waved. We saw at least 2 other parties seated and receive drinks immediately. The vibe wasn't for us. We did not feel welcomed at all. We won't be returning.
It was very early in the morning I was surprised service was slow with not many people there
We just moved into the area, and we visited one weekend and haven't stopped coming back. The food is excellent and so much for the price. The atmosphere is so warming and welcoming. Everyone here is so amazing, awesome and extremely friendly, and very nice. Love this place, it is our new home away from home.
Really good diner with excellent soups, especially the beef and cabbage, and sizable dinner portions. The chicken parmesan with pasta or 2 sides, is very tasty as are most of the entrees on the menu. Most entrees come with soup and salad, which is a plus in my book. The cinnamon and cheese breads are excellent as well.
Mary is the best. We take my grandson out to breakfast at least twice a month here. Bananas with whipped cream is Bryson's favorite treat!
Today was the first time visit although we have been living in the area for all these years. The food and atmosphere was great. We will hopefully be returning on a regular basis moving ahead.
Beautiful atmosphere been going here for years after the Elks. Just recently visited with family. Ordered fried chicken which was so good. They give you so much food. Soup, salad annd bread to begin. My family member ordered chopped steak was so delicious.
