Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania reviews
19 Clean environment. Staff not overly energetic to welcome you, but fairly efficient. Doctor listened. Waiting for authorization for injections for arthritis. So far, so good.
Still waiting to hear on authorization.
Kathy Mueller was very helpful & knowledgeable. She took her time & was very attentive. Consistently gave me time to ask questions & very understanding.
ACL surgery results are excellent. Dr. Jones gave me guidance and was informative on my options. Highly recommend.
Thank you Dr. Dahl, I can walk normal AND HAVE LESS PAIN! HOWEVER i WAS AT cOSTCO SHOPING AND WITH ALL THE WALKING THE SLIGHT LIMP AND MILD PAIN KICKED IN! TODAY AS i TYPE THIS NOTE TO YOU i FEEL NO PAIN, LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT VISIT! LINDA ~
Fast and good conversation. Very knowledgeable and considerate. Above and beyond in treating my pain.
Brett Himmelwright is an amazing doctor who helps get you back on your feet with the right help. I will continue to support my doctor as well as the institute he is with.
This place was recommended to me however when I went my pain was completely dismissed. Dr. McClure stated there was nothing wrong and could go about normally. Not to meantion he was incredibly rude and seemed to care less about what i was saying and wanted to move on. I was given boot too small of size when initially going to the emergency room in severe pain. Decided to go to OSS and they cared enough to take new x-rays, actually examine my injury. To find out I not only had a stress fracture but also a tendon injury! As well as give me the right size boot. The entire staff at OSS was 100000% better. DO NOT recommend OIP.
Had a walk-in apt today. WOW! The service was great, Brooke Thompson PA-C exceedingly and extraordinarily skilled in intramuscular injection. I was had severe #10 pain I felt a pinch on my bone and she was done. Kudos to Brooke the epitome of greatness.
The Dr. Is very personable, he shows concern for the patient. The staff was courteous and helped with everything I needed. I told them I was in pain and the found me an immediate appointment.
Day of surgery, the Doctor was outstanding in explaining the procedure and I am confident in his surgical abilities, and that I will have a good outcome long-term.
However, from my experience, Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania, Camp Hill Location was disorganized, lacked medical staff with adequate experience (I was told there were no RNs there), and the facility is not set up for people in wheelchairs (halls are too narrow). And staff do not wear badges with their names or their medical qualifications on them.
On my first visit post surgery, I was met with a staff member who was chewing gum, nose pierced, and dangling hair which came dangerously close to my wounds she was supposed to take care of. She did not have the medical decision making ability to see that my wound was infected and needed to be seen by a doctor. Rather, she just wanted to cover the wound up. I asked for someone else, and was provided with a more experienced staff member, but overall left with very little confidence that further care there would be a good thing.
I came in with a finger broken in five places about 5 years ago. The treatment was fine. However, the young ladies at the check-in station made unwanted comments to me. After they realized I was new to the area, they said - “oh yeah.we’ll be seeing A LOT more of you in the coming years”. They said this apparently because I was overweight. At the time, I was more worried about getting back to work so I did not respond to the snide comments. These comments really cut deep though. I have not been to OIP since. I would respectfully rather die than go here again. And yes, I am still overweight and battle this everyday and am still in the fight. OIP and their arrogant front office staff will not be a partner in my health journey.
Outstanding doctor who is always helpful and truly concerned about his patients well being. I am very glad that he is my doctor.
I feel like they should not have a check in kiosk when it is not the “correct” way to check in? And then front desk staff have an attitude and act like its our responsibility to know we HAVEEEE to come to the counter. Receptionist has no patience and i heard her talking nasty to other staff.i will from now on request to go elsewhere as this appointment put a bad taste in my mouth.remove the kiosk seems like a simple fix
I have nothing but good things to say about OIP in general and Dr Maugle in particular. I have been through two surgeries with him and he's the best. The office staff and his assistant Shannon are great to work with. Thanks for everything
Better not to get an appointment here instead just walk in, that way you will not be disappointed and get frustrated losing your valuable time.always keep your expectations lower. For appointments expect the wait time around an hour and half.
I saw Dr. Dailey about my broken wrist this week, I felt very confident about his care, My only concern, I walk with a cane and I went from Checkin to a waiting room almost at the end of the building, then moved to Dr. Dailey's office - where he ordered an xray.back to xray waiting area, then to Dr. Dailey's office, then onto the Casting area, I was phyically exhaustrd with my first visit. Also, we were in the wairing area for over Hour until I was seen by the Doc.
OIP has been a life saver for my 90 year old mother. She has severe spinal stenosis & scoliosis. Her daily pain was such that she lost sleep, appetite, balance, patience, etc. Surgery helped when she was younger but her curved spine is now aggravated by arthritis, time, and age. Surgery is no longer an option. She tried pain clinics at Johns Hopkins, acupuncture, reflexology, etc. Dr. Skeehan and Dr. Dahl's expertice has saved mom's quality of life.
In only 2 hours after Dr. Skeehan administers a spinal injection her pain recedes; 4 hours later the pain is completely gone. The pain does not return for 5 months. That is a miracle. Thank you Dr. Skeehan.
Dr. Dahl implanted mom's Spinal Cord Stimulator in August 2021. He also treated her bone spur in her wrist. Regardless of the problem you bring to Dr. Dahl he has an explanation and a treatment. He has been very creative with treatments for mom's degrading spine for which there is no permanent cure. Thank you Dr. Dahl.
Dr. Dahl also performed my Total Knee Replacement in February 2022. My pain is gone, the knee is reliable, and there were no surprises. He told me what to expect every step of the way.
My first visit with Dr Lippe was right on time and he was excellent in his diagnosis. Gave me a shot and set up PT. It all worked great together. My check up visit was not good time wise. I had an appointment at 4: 05. I showed up at 3: 50, signed in on a clip board. No one was at the desk. There was no sign asking you to sign just the board and another patient alerting us to sign in. I waited until 5: 00 to see Dr Lippe. He was professional and released me from his care as my issue no longer existed. All cured. I feel waiting for an hour for a pre scheduled appointment is poor management somewhere within the organization. If pre scheduled appointment patients can arrive in time In Order to keep the flow of the staffs work moving steadily, I think the policy for “walk-ins welcome” is not working. There are care facilities not to mention ER’s for those needing walk in attention. I suggest you rethink your procedures. It’s not working for anyone.
Had a appointment to check my bone spur waited almost 2 months for the appointment to find out that they had canceled it. They called once and got no answer. I don't have voice-mail so they felt there job was done. I lost out on 4 hours of overtime because of this.
